Half Life
 

I've been playing this again with the graphics upgrade patch available through HL-Blue Shift... It's still a cool game. :) Also - I've been playing on the highest difficulty level and a few areas are pretty tough. One thing I managed to do this time was collect Barneys and Scientists - I have 9 with me... I'm working on a screenshot, but it's on another PC... :)

what is blue shift? What does it change to the game? Does it work with Counter-Strike?

Blue Shift is an entirely new episode for the Half-Life universe. You play the role of the Barney (Blue Security Guard). You don't need the original copy of Half-Life to play it. But if you own it, it comes with the "High Definition" Pack which upgrades to weapon models and player models. It's out now. No, it has nothing to do with CS.
