Anyone leave PS2 games inside the system during transport??

I got into the habit of this with the playstation as it held the disc securely in place......played Madden 2002 last Sunday....went to play this weekend(I transport this from home to work on the weekends) and it would not go past the loading screen to the start button screen....took out the disc and there was a nice smudge type scratch on the back. I take care of my discs when handling them so I know I did not scratch this outside of the system...I assume since the disc is not locked into place inside the PS2...that somehow it was jarred around enough for this to happen. Anyone else leave their games inside the system during transport???

I will definitely not do this again......back in the case for now on....

Its a bad idea with any draw loading system. I forgot once with my DVD player and as soon as I picked it up to move it to the other room I could here the disc slide. I ended up having to take my player apart with a screw driver and take out the disc, before I dared to turn it on.
