Is WSB2K2 being delayed??
 

Does anyone know for sure when world series baseball 2k2 is coming out??

I think this game is still coming out for shipping on 8/07/01 Amazon has it up as the 3rd but everyone else is saying the 7th , I play ya online once its out.

I am looking forward to WSB2K2. The first WSB was horrible. No manual fielding, flighty pitching... I stopped playing it after the 4th inning of my first game. Not even an official game. I hear the new game will track online wins, losses, and disconnects. But of course, disconnects happen, sometimes. :rolleyes: hah

The game has been delayed. Go to dc.ign.com and click on the story. On-line play needs a few tweaks and then it should be out sometime in August.

I read somewhere on a message board that the game might be delayed until the 15th...I surely hope they're mistaken. I can't wait for this game, and will play the hell outta it when I get it :).

The Dreamcast IGN board posted some new movies of WSB 2K2, one of which is Barry Bonds (I think it was him) smacking a dinger. But here's what got me--it's a hit down the line, the commentary guy says it's foul, then says it's a home run, and we see Bonds trotting around the bases!

Okay, maybe I just heard it wrong, but that's what it sure sounded like. Doesn't seem like the kind of movie I'd want to be posting to highlight the game, and such an obvious gaffe seems like it would have been easily caught in game testing.

Anyone else notice this?

oh no that is just a perfect mimic of current broadcasters out there, especially on nbc

Just called Sega earlier today, and he's what they told me:

The game is slated for an Aug. 7th release (He said they always release on a Tuesday), but they are EXPECTING a delay on the game until the 14th or 15th of August for unknown reasons to him.


So there you have it, I surely hope whenever this game is released it better be DAMN good :D.

I pre-ordered mine at Amazon.

2K2 has full control fielding........WOOHOO!!! :D
