Baldur's Gate players, I need advice??
I am just getting ready to begin my BG adventure. I have bought both BG1 along with the ToSC expansion. My question is, "should I play through BG1 first and then add the expansion or should I add ToSC from the start?"
I know, not a life changing decision but I would still like your opinion..... Thanks

Install it with the regular game, it will help make it even longer (not that BG wasn't long enough).
When you are done, you can buy Baldurs Gate 2 and the Throne of Baal expansion (and use the same character)...and say goodbye to your life.

Thanks a LOT for the advice guys (or gals )!!
BG and the expansion game are in route from the States now and my quest should begin in about a week or so. In the mean time, I am trying to catch up on all of my "honey do" items along with spending some time with the boys. For I do expect to get pretty caught up in the whole Lost Coast realm....

one tip. save often. I mean after every fight or decision. early in the game it crashed alot on me. they might have fixed the bugs by now.
The game is still great but the first chapter was tough due to the crashing.
enjoy this one. probably one of the best roleplaying games in awhile

Indeed - don't play this just after playing Diablo or any of its imitators, as you'll quickly find yourself without spells and hit points. Is the DVD version still available?

I'm not sure if the dvd version is still available or not? Amazon.com had a link to it for $49.99 but it said they were unavailable. Plus, I am not willing to pay that kind of money for faster load times or simply to avoid changing disks. I mean I got a package deal on BG; BG: Tales of SC; BG 2; and BG 2: Throne of Bhaal (that's both games and both expansion sets) for $50 shipped. In my opinion, definitely a better bargain for my 50 bucks...

I was watching it debating on bidding. I already own BG 1 and Tales of the Sword Coast. I was thinking bidding on it and if I won, selling of the 2titles I already own and just keep BBG 2 and the expansion for it. That is a great deal for $50.
