It's at Gamestop.com for $99.99. It is called the PS2 Force GT or something like that. You can also get the PC version of it (Formula Force GP) and you might be able to find it for cheaper than the $99.99 price point. It will work with the PS2 and GT3.

Will the PC version work with other PS2 games other than GT3?

Supposedly it is supposed to work with all games. Sony evidentally has some deal with Logitech that their USB controllers will work with the PS2 with no problems, whereas supposedly Microsoft and other companies ones do not work. I've heard this through the news here and there. Firingsquad.com has info about it in their GT3 review where they hooked up the PC version of the PS2 wheel to their PS2.

I'm really tempted to buy GT3 and the wheel, but I'm hardly a hard-core car junkie. I don't want to be out $150 when I lose interest in a week. Tough decision.

OK, so will it be next Tues (7/10) or Wed (7/11)? I'd like to know as I get Tuesdays off. In either case, just a week to go! Man, I can't wait.

Next Tuesday (7/10) is the shipping date, therefore it should be in at least EB stores by Wednesday (7/11). Chances are Best Buy may not sell it until Thursday (7/12), for some reason they like to hold things an extra day.

I was right

Best Buy (and Target) won't be selling it until Thursday, July 12th. Electronics Boutique and the Gamestop family should have it out on Wednesday, July 11th. We shall see.

Best Buy also has a deal if you buy the GT Steering Wheel, you get a $30 gift card by mail for use at a later date.

My friend at CC said that they expect their shipment of GT3 to arrive today, and will have it for sale Wednesday morning at the latest. I'm wondering if I can get it today - I'll find out

I'll be pickin' up my copy of GT3 from Software Etc. today. I think they're gonna put 'em on the shelves on the 12th, but anyone who pre-ordered gets to take 'em home today. Then again, I'm not sure if they'll have any extra copies to put on the shelves - the employee over there told me that they had received so many pre-orders that everyone else is gonna have to wait for the next shipment.

I only played the first two briefly, but I seem to remember a larger selection of cars one could afford at the start, mainly because they were used/and/or older cars, but in GT3 I can only get like a bug, a miata or some diatsu or something like that, what's the deal?
