I don't know if I'd call it winning a battle.
Microsoft has oodles of money.. XBox Technologies most likely doesnt.
Offer money to XBox and viola... name is now Microsofts.
You'd have thought people at MS would have found out ealier before the name got out and all hyped and could have chosen another. But instead, they just gobble up what they want so they can use the name.
