Originally posted by PixyJunket Yeah but there were only like 12 Saturn games released here. :( Errr. There's around 240 US Sega Saturn Releases. I'd have to count to get the exact number. But Pixy I do understand you were being funny :) |

Originally posted by PixyJunket What are the hardest to find games? Right now, most of the games are not too hard to find if you are resourceful enough to do digging. ie. check out used videogame places, retail stores that still have stock, online retail, and yes even ebay. Sometimes you can get the titles directly from the publisher, ie. Capcom, or Tecmo. It's hard to tell which ones will be of value versus which ones will be hard to find. For example Powerstone 1 and 2 are still very popular and usually cost more to find used. They maybe hard to find because of their popularity but I don't consider them to be really rare titles. But yes they will still hold a good price tag in the future. If I were to take a guess, it will be the titles that fell thru the cracks and basically were ignored will be the rarest ones. Because they had low print runs they will be the ones collector's will be searching for in the future or paying $$ on ebay to finish their collections. I agree with the thread title, right now is a good time to try and complete your DC collection cause you shouldn't have to pay too much to try and get these harder to get titles. Sorry bout long winded answer; my guess for someday hard to get titles are: Midway's Greatest Hit's volume 2 (came at end of US DC's life lots of people didn't know this was released, including sega themselves. I have a copy of the PDF from Sega that did NOT have it on their list; Then a couple days later they updated their PDF including that title) Record Of Lodoss War (videogamedepot.com says it may have had a low print run of 10,000 copies: That and its actually quite a good game will make it a collectible) Bangaio (Another low print run possibly and it's a Treasure Shooter) Sonic Adventure: Limited Edition (Only available for Rental with the Promo Sega did with Hollywood Video Stores. Basically its the same SA without Internet functions. And for you collectors there is a Manual saying Limited edition, and a Back/Spine for a Jewel Case saying it's a Limited version. The Cd says limited edition.) The less popular Capcom titles: Tech Romancer, Project Justice: Rival Schools 2, Cannon Spike, Giga Wing 1 and 2, Heavy Metal, Mars Matrix. BleemCast: Metal Gear, GranTurismo, Tekken 3 Charge N Blast (later title) Coaster Works (another later title by Xicat) Iron Aces (Xicat wwII plane game) Conflict Zone (later title) Dragon Riders Chronicles of Pern (later title) Illbleed (translated/released by small company AIA here in the midwest. This game was done by Climax who did Blue Stinger so plenty of bad Engrish.) Aerowings 2 (later Crave title) Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 (another later Crave title) Fatal Fury: Mark of the wolves (Agetec release of snk fighter) Industrial Spy (interesting game concept of controlling 3 chars at same time. You give commands to your team. Very Anime inspired visuals.) For Peripherals Get 1st party Maraca's for Samba De Amigo. For imports: try to get UK Headhunter, Shenmue 2, REZ, and Evil Twin. Japan Cosmic Smash (personal Fav) and Ikaruga and plenty other shooters/fighters that didnt get released here. Oh well sorry for long post! Good luck hunting!!! :) |
I just found a copy of Cannon Spike at my local EB. I was very happy.
|
One more great import shooter: Zero Gunner 2. Favorite shooter.

Geekiness? i know someone with EVERY SINGLE JAPANESE SATURN GAME.
I'd say the rarest DC game with the highest demand is Street Fighter III: Third Strike |
