Links 386 Pro by Access was probably the best golf game ever made, especially for the system it ran on. Access was purchased by M$, and in the newer versions the graphics haven't improved by very much -- 4 years later. In fact, the control of the new Links games has decreased. Tiger Woods golf was the first major advance since Links 386 Pro (enabling the use of 3d video cards), but even that is currently stuck in a rut.
I would like to see two thing: 1. A sim golf game (and I'm familiar with SimGolf and it sucks) that brings golf course architecture together with managing a golf course. The courses could be exported to and played on the game listed below: 2. A photorealistic 3d golf game, which employs a 3d real-time, walkaround world FPS engine with a highly competant, physics realistic, golf swing engine. :) |
I would like to see hotshots 3

I certainly enjoy the Hotshot games, too.
Mario Golf 64, while very simplistic, is still lots of fun, also. |
The Game Boy version of Mario Golf is still one of my favorites to play. Access was a great software company, but the Microsoft buyout has seemed for the worst. They even cancelled their Tex Murphy series.
