I also found the ending to be quite touching, whereas my friend said "it was the funniest ending ever because of that song in the background."
But, then again, he finds every episode of The Simpsons to be hysterical and possessing no flaws whatsoever.

hahah...
i nearly died laughing when bender turned himself into the "B" line subway. his subway conductor imitation was dead-on. ROTFL!!! They would've completed it by saying "Let go of the doors!"

I liked this episode too. Even though it's not as funny as some of the other Futuramas, it was more touching (as everyone said). This show just keeps getting more and more "human" while The Simpsons just keeps getting more and more "cartoon". I can't wait until they put Futurama out on DVD.
