Some tv shows are great but you can't rewatch them much. Others you can watch over and over again!

for me Fawlty Towers has the very highest rewatchability factor, have seen all episodes dozens of times !

I enjoy reruns and re-watching tapes of these:

Seinfeld
Home Improvement
The Charmings
Matlock
Diagnosis Murder
Newhart

Big Dave 03-11-01 09:53 AM

Definately Seinfeld, I would also throw in there South Park.

I would guess this includes cable TV also.....

Because I am finding out that The Sopranos Box Set(Season One) will have many viewings!!!! I do not have HBO and will most likely purchase the seasons as they are released on dvd!!! :)

The Simpsons definitely has a HIGH rewatchability factor.

Freaks and Geeks

I've seen every episode numerous times, but I never get bored, unlike the majority of shows out there. I can't wait for this to hit DVD.

Yeah, you're right, I don't laugh at Golden Girls. Does anyone?

The Simpsons is definitely #1 on my list. You pretty much have to watch it again, to catch all the stuff you missed before.

Other rewatchables:

Are You Being Served
Fawlty Towers
I Love Lucy
Cheers
Designing Women
The Jeffersons
Will & Grace
Mad About You
Friends

It got the play it deserved, but my answer would have to be The Tick. I was lucky enough to find someone to dub me copies of every episode over the summer, and they're fantastic. Tis a show where you notice new things everytime (IE the North by Northwest ref in one of the eps with El Seed... didn't notice it until the third time.)

This show was basically unmarketable though. It was a show that on the cover looked exactly like a kids show (and I missed it in it's first run, because I thought I was too cool of an 11 year old to be watching a kids show) But deep down it was a fantastic hilarious show.

Oh, and also Mr. Show

Junaid 03-12-01 12:48 AM

I usually rewatch shows that have a running story arc throughout the series, and end up being resolved in the final episode of the season. Best if there is a big twist.
Then when you rewatch, you can see all the little clues throughout the season that should have let you work it out, but didn't.
Examples:
X-Files
Babylon 5
Buffy & Angel
err...I can't think of anymore

Can anyone suggest others that fit this description??

PS Can I also say a big 'yay' for Seinfeld and The Simpsons? Or is it too late?

DVDKrayzie 03-12-01 02:46 AM

Quantum Leap
Perfect Strangers
The Simpsons

MrBEAViS 03-12-01 02:56 AM
