Damn.. what an episode. A lot of loose ends being tied up and questions answered.

Spoiler:
Harry being in a uniform when he found Dexter and Brian because he was being punished for his affair.

Brian and Dexter both being brought in by Harry and Doris was a surprise to me. Makes sense that they were separated because of Brian’s dark tendencies.

Brian being fully reveal as the serial killer Harry and LaGuerta are after.

Also that ending.. holy shit. So much could have gone wrong there. Dexter not being full strength, almost botching the M99 injection. The fact that Spencer now obviously knows what he is. I don’t understand how Spencer gets killed without a serious investigation afterwards. Plus Nicky knows his dad is the one holding him and also knows Dexter. Finale should be crazy.

This show is reminding me of why I liked Dexter so much in the first place.

Fixing plot holes sooths my soul. They give a reason for Harry to be a uniformed officer when finding Dexter instead if a detective and it makes total sense.

Really good episode with lots of Ice Truck Killer character building. LeGuerta knowing the name Brian Moser and it being involved with Harry's affair, and that not coming back to her in the OG series is a little odd. Like just a name in a file sure you'd forget that. But the name of a coworkers affairs son after the mother was murdered and you look up the police report? That would stick with you.

One episode left. I think Harry dies at the hands of Brian Moser who covers it up and makes it look like an OD next week. It's been a very good series. Matthews and Evelyn Vogel being left out seems a little weird. But for what it's worth this show has been really solid.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess Dexter's going to be led to Nicky and find a way to free him. Nicky finds his way to the police and tells them it was his dad. And everyone just thinks he left town and went on the run. But he'll be taken out by Dexter.

LaGuerta not remembering Brian is one of the big plot holes that I don’t see resolution to. Granted over the course of fifteen years maybe she would forget.

I’m curious about Brian’s role after this season. I can’t see him sticking around when he’s being investigated. Also it doesn’t really make sense for him to be around so long and not trying to get together with Dexter sooner.
