Finished it. Good stuff. It was fun and had interesting characters. The plot was bad and so was some of the acting. But I didn't go into it expecting thought provoking fare. I hope it comes back for more seasons because it was enjoyable.

Just binged this over the last few days. Hilarious.

Good that there's still a place for very R-rated type comedy. Besides The Hangover, Mission Impossible type comparisons, it's almost like a live action version of Archer.

I'm also working my way thru this show. It's great. The real-life Archer comparison is spot-on! I know I'm digging a show when 45 minutes passes by like it's been 20.

I enjoyed this - I liked the "24"-like atmosphere of things happening in real-time. Because obviously they'd sober-up too quickly otherwise, so it worked for me.

Just wrapped this up last night. It was ridiculous and stupid and full of plot holes. And I loved every minute of it. I can't wait for another season.

This was fun. I noticed that the last few episodes Shelley Henning's character wasn't wearing her underwear.

I am through 4.

I do find it amusing and fun. I didn't expect C Thomas to be Weekend at Bernies the whole time but there have been some funny as hell moments.

Renewed yet?

Seems to be doing well.

Couple of things I never expected to see in the series or my life nor did I look for them.

This much wiener C Thomas WTF

And the Walking Dead gals boobies.

I am Ok with the boobies.

Wife is Ok with the wiener so we are good.

One left...

Wow. Surprising considering how well it seemed to be doing. That is a bummer.

Re: Obliterated (Netflix) -- Action/Comedy series from the makers of Cobra Kai -- Premieres 11/30/23

I had never heard of this until I heard Nick Zano on the Howard Stern Wrap Up Show last month. So I think there really hasn't been much publicity for this.

Based on what I've heard I'd like to watch it. I watched about 15 minutes so far, but didn't have time to continue watching. I just canceled my Netflix so I'll have to try and watch it when I resubscribe.

Re: Obliterated (Netflix) -- Action/Comedy series from the makers of Cobra Kai -- Premieres 11/30/23

People definitely watched it. It was in the top 10 in Netflix TV shows in the 1st month it was out. Netflix doesn't own the show. Sony produces it, so this is most likely the studio and streamer fighting over money to make it.

Obliterated premiered Nov. 30 on Netflix and landed in the streamer’s worldwide top 10 list of English language series for six weeks. During that time, the eight-episode season (which has a running time of six hours, 50 minutes) recorded 29 million “views” — the equivalent of that many full runs of the series.

In the United States, Obliterated accumulated 2.77 billion minutes of viewing over four weeks it spent on the top 10 streaming charts from Nielsen, which works out to about 6.76 million views.

It had a solid wrap-up too!!!

Ok that sucks as this was one I was actually wanting to see a second season of.

I cursed it.

Sorry

Jesus Christ, what the fuck is Netflix doing? If they cancel everything that's popular after a season or two, eventually this will COMPLETELY bite them in the ass. I know their subscriber numbers are up so what do I know but it all seems ridiculous.

This sucks. I really had fun watching this and based on the viewing numbers thought it was getting at least 1 more season.

Haven't watched it yet but had planned on watching it next and still plan to based on the feedback I've read. If enough noise is made maybe another streamer will pick it up...

To be fair, from the Deadline article:
Envisioning Obliterated as a movie franchise in the vein of Die Hard or The Hangover, the trio are hoping to revisit the concept in some form in the future, picking up with the characters years later.

Exactly what I was doing. Planned on watching it with a friend who has a similar sense of humor but we just have to make the time to do it.

We watch Cobra Kai together and sometimes that can take months to finish a season just depending on our schedules.

Too much content out there and impossible to watch everything as quickly as some of these streaming services want. I just finished Cowboy Bebop (the live show) after starting it more than a year ago. Granted, it wasn't a show that I would want renewed after watching it and wasn't the type to make me complete it in a week...but I didn't even start it until two years after it was first released. Always behind.

Guess it could be worse though. You might never be able to see the show at all.

I follow this person on Youtube that posts old TV show openings that are rare and there are hundreds, if not thousands of TV shows from the 50s, 60, 70, 80, & 90s that made it an episode or two and just disappeared as if they were disintegrated. The videos are fascinating to watch.

Here is just one example...
