Started up S2 and am already on E7. Thanks again to The Bang for indexing the seasons and watching order. I never watched anything after seasons 4 or 5, so I aim to watch everuything including Legacy in the coming days/weeks.

Rewatched the entire series last winter. Hadn't seen it since original airing. Forgot how good it was. Surprised how much I'd forgotten and had no idea what came next. Surprised at all the famous faces I'd forgotten were in it. Zachary Quinto, Mischa Collins, Catelyn Stark from Game of Thrones as a terrorist Thank god for DVD.
The President Logan stuff was the best.

Just wait until you get to season 8 and decide to read the comments.

A bunch of people bailed early in the season after getting really frustrated with it. Then a dramatic shift happened and the show went on a crazy "good" surge and those people were still lurking in the threads and then went something like..,.."OMG, now I have to watch it again?" "Did they change writers or the showrunner?"

It sucks that Gregory Itzin died last year. I managed to see him one last time when he appeared at the 24 20th anniversary online reunion back in November 2021.

Watched Night Shift (1982) last night. Henry Winkler, Michael Keaton, Shelly Long. Movie starts with pimp running from Richard Belzer and another guy. I immediately think "President Palmer". The pimp gets tossed out a window tied to a chair. End credits didn't list who played the pimp. I checked Dennis Haysbert bio and it's not listed. Can't find who played the pimp. I could swear it was him.

I was listening to the 24 soundtrack today and it’s always worth noting that Sean Callery (composer) is awesome. The music for 24 was great at enhancing the tension in every scene.

Howard Gordon, 24’s showrunner, was once again asked about 24 while he was promoting Accused.

Again, another vague answer. Honestly it doesn’t sound like it’s happening anytime soon. Gordon posted the full article on his Facebook page.

Paste: Lastly, there’s the perennial question of whether a revival of 24 should still be looked at. Where do you stand on that?

Gordon: One, the show was so of its time. Even Homeland was a show that could only have been done 10 years after 9/11. I don’t know if we could even make it today. So, I think what you have to do is make sure it’s not just like the old rock and roll band who are just touring to keep their mortgage paid. I don’t think you want to bring it back for the sake of bringing it back. It means too much to the stakeholders, particularly. But you have to tell a story that really does resonate with not just today, but with Jack Bauer. As Kiefer [Sutherland] says, if you bring it back, you better do it fast before Jack is in a walker. But at the same time, we’ve seen the value of IP and old catalogs. You see it in music, you see it on TV. It’s a question that I always… I never say never, and try not to say always. I think if the right idea came up, I think everyone would be open to it and it will happen organically. We think about it, but we want to make sure it’s not just a business, and that there’s actually a reason to tell whatever story we want to tell to bring Jack Bauer back.
