Get ready. They already said Daredevil is a reboot- hence the title Born Again (I know that's a storyline from the DD books) and it will definitely not be following the Netflix plot. Right now it seems Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio and the only two actors returning. So, yes, DD will be at most PG-13 (or whatever its TV equivalent is). It's on D+.

The Elektra saga is the go-to Daredevil story.
But I suppose I could see them not wanting to dip into that well again, as that story was covered by both Ben Affleck/Jennifer Garner and Netflix. And, when they rebooted Spiderman for the MCU, they were careful not to reuse any villains from the previous five movies until they multiversed.
Typhoid Mary, maybe? (Netflix never really finished that storyline.)

Still enjoying this show. Perfect comedic timing for me with this episode. All the jokes hit right.
