Great finale, even though Molly and Emily arrived in second. I'm 1 for 34 on guessing the winner
That was the best final memory challenge. Making it speed, memory, and agility gave any team a chance to win, no matter how far you were behind.
Molly and Emily should have realized they needed to ask for directions IMMEDIATELY.

Re: The Amazing Race Season 34 (CBS) 9/21/22
That was the hardest final challenge ever on the Amazing Race and possibly one of the hardest in reality tv history due to the eleven second time limit. It would have taken me forever to finish it.
I wanted Molly and Emily to win. I teared up when they crossed the finish line.
Great finale to a very good season. Lots of likeable people this season. They have had problems casting good contestants in the past, but they've done a good job the last two seasons.
I was very happy to see Nashville on The Amazing Race. I want to climb the Korean Veterans Memorial Bridge now. I loved that they showed the teams weaving their way through all the drunk tourists. There's tons of drunk tourists on Broadway every night of the week. It doesn't ever really seem to slow down.

Agree that the nice mix of memory and skill made a great final challenge.
Nice to see Derek and Claire win. They seem like very genuine and kind people. Good for them.

How could I forgot Claire obnoxiously yelling "EXCUSE ME!" several times?
Of course she had to be extremely direct in that situation, but the tone of it made me laugh.

Congrats to Derek and Claire they play a smart race last night. Can't wait for the next TAR. Hopefully Will and Abby be on cause of the Covid-19.

Memory puzzles alone are tough, but the time element really doubled that difficulty. Happy to see any of the last 3 teams win. I loved Derek with the mock proposal and Claire is like "don't you even.."...

And to do it with your feet in coordination with your teammate. Really really hard. I wonder how long it took them to do that in actual time. It was all at night, so hard to tell.

And the Derek and Claire strategy of front loading her roadblocks did pay off. They said on a few occasions that what they didn't want to have happen was get a late one that was "you have to run a marathon", and Claire would have to do it. Obviously that was an exaggeration, but Derek did give them a meaningful lead running up that bridge that they never gave up.
I guess after the last leg they decided to go ahead and have Derek put in his contacts. I guess he sucks at it. He never wore them before, and he got them for his time on the Challenge. He said it would take him about a half hour to put them in on Challenge days.

Really hoping that an ALL STARS version is coming soon...they haven't had one in a while so we are due and I'd love to revisit some of the.past top teams...
I agree the final ep challenge were inspired and way more difficult. Love that they actually make you work for it and use your brain to think about what you just went through for the past 3 weeks....that's why this show is still one of the best reality competitions still on....
casting also was great this season...really wish the team casting this show could take over for survivor since they have started picking the worst people every to be on over the past 5 years....
who doesn't cry at the end of amazing race! its impossible to not get emotionally connected to one of these teams. I wanted my Korean twins to win too but still was bawling my eyes out when the winning team ran through the entrance.....great show!

Yeah, I still get emotional when the winning team gets to the finish line with all the other competitors there clapping for them.

Looks like all previous Amazing Race seasons will now only be on Paramount+. That stinks for us because we don't currently have that, and have been watching past seasons on Hulu as a family for a long time. We are just finishing up season 24 (All Star season with Cowboys and Globetrotters), so we still have a ways to go. We already have Netflix, Hulu, Apple, Amazon, HBO and Disney. I'm not sure I can justify adding yet another one.

Paramount+ has a free seven-day trial if you go to their webpage; you can check it out to see if you think that it's worth your money. I've got to cut down on the number of streaming channels to which I subscribe, but I don't see dropping Paramount+ anytime in the near future. And no--I'm not a studio shill--I just think that Paramount+ gives me more value for my money than most any other streamer.

Paramount+ always has (one month) free trials. And you can use the free trials multiple times on a single account / email.
I’ve subscribed to it twice and have yet to give them any money.

awww. was hoping to find some new info on a new season here....I guess that's still unknown...
nice to have access to old seasons but I have half of them on DVD already. I suppose they won't ever release the remaining on disk but the earlier seasons were among the best!

The new season won't be out until the fall. We might get two seasons for the 2023-2024 tv season if the writers strike. Season 35 has already been filmed too. It was shot in October and November of 2022.

Assuming they want Survivor to stick with the 90 minute episodes going forward, hopefully that means they'll get back to 2 TAR seasons every year to fill the slot after. Unless they end up with 90 minute episode of Tough As Nails or The Real Love Boat. They could always do a version of The Challenge there or just move it from MTV.

90 minute episodes will mean less editing. Could be good or bad. Remember they have to edit down hours of content.

The 90 minute episodes will probably be better in the first half of each program when there are more contestants. By the time they're whittled down to the halfway point (or so) they might struggle to fill all of that time.
When TAR starts out with eleven teams and Survivor with eighteen castaways, that extra twenty minutes will be welcome. But by the time you're down to a half a dozen teams or fewer than ten castaways, they might struggle to fill the time. I would, at least, welcome longer tribal councils, and more sightseeing and local color on TAR.
