imagine the logistical nightmare of a team arriving in a foreign country during a layover and getting stuck due to different covid restrictions. There was very little chance of leapfrogging other teams in this very linear leg. Though some teams had better drivers as they randomly arrived at Petra in different order than they left the desert task.

It may be just me, though. I know a lot of people really didn't like the airport shenanigans of seasons past.
I'm with you. And I miss the monetary allotment they used to get for each leg for taxis and such. I realize/understand why they needed to get away from that, but it does take away from the original charm of the contest.

And I loved the Jordan scenery. I had no idea that's where the final scenes of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade were filmed.

Another area that was fun in the past, but production is probably hampered by Covid restrictions is having teams barter/interact with locals at marketplaces.

I'm glad none of the teams got beheaded trying to get to the grail.

Interesting leg due to covid. Almost felt sorry for them, until I realized itís just a game. Maybe theyíll get another chance in the future.

Molly and Emily (twins) doing ok on this leg. They seem to have a good diversity of skills - knowledge and doing well on the physical challenges (despite one of them having an injury).

Decent follow up leg. Molly and Emily arriving in second and still going strong.

Some very good teams this season. Canít foresee a runaway team.

I thought Luis and Michelle were going to run away with another one, but bad driving and switching tasks hurt them.

Emily and Molly - 3rd place, not too bad, but getting towards the end of the game. Emilyís injury not looking good.

David did some very minor cheating for Aubrey during the rugby roadblock. He yelled ďpass itĒ (the rugby ball) as Aubrey was going through the obstacle course, at the moment when she had to remember to throw the ball. From my understanding, he canít help her with the challenge, which he did.

Meh, I donít like the 2nd mega leg.

Looking rough for Molly and Emily

Iím wondering why more teams didnít try to pre-assemble the Picasso puzzle on the ground first. Claire did it for a couple pieces, so I assume it wasnít illegal.

Once in a while this show goes somewhere that catches my eye. Malaga just made my bucket list if I ever visit Spain.

I think Iíve decided I dislike Mega-Legs more than the traditional non-elimination episodes. When Phil announced it at the beginning I barely paid attention to the rest of the episode. At least with a non-elimination leg you didnít know you just wasted an hour until it was too late.

Agree. I prefer not knowing each week if it's a non-elimination leg.

Wow, I thought Molly and Emily would be toast, since the injury keeps getting worse.

Live to see another day!

Props to her and Aubrey for challenging themselves to get over their fear of heights.

You can always count on each season:

ďIím afraid of heightsĒ

ďI canít drive stickĒ

Therefore, I will sign up for the Amazing Race!

but yes, props to them because I could never do this race. I hate flying and I need my bathroom breaks haha

Re: The Amazing Race Season 34 (CBS) 9/21/22

Iím finally caught up after being behind most of the season. I think itís been a good season except the Megalegs should have been keep racing legs.

The cast had been likable except for the motivational speaker and the daughter that tried to quit. The twins are my favorite, but itís probably going to take a miracle for them to win with that injury. Iíll still be rooting for them though.
