Wow, I really enjoyed this. Lots of fun. I didn't read a lot of She-Hulk as a kid but she seemed cool. I'll be glad to take in this show.

That was a fun show and Maslany was awesome as always. I agree that the song in the end credits was total shit though, ugh.

Someone got so upset about the whole "Steve Rogers is a virgin" thing that they wrote an article about it:
https://nerdist.com/article/is-capta...wers-question/
The TL;DR version is simply this: Jennifer Walters is assuming that Steve Rogers is straight and that in order for him to validated as a man he has to have a heterosexual relationship with a girl with no possible opening from a probable MCU queer experience stemming from of hanging around with only men on the frontline of war and his best friend, Bucky.
There you go.
Good thing Bruce didn't bring up Peggy Carter and Sharon Carter... that would flip her lid. (Hayley Atwell went on record that she did not approve of that.)

I mean let's be honest, there was probably a LOT of fucking, post snap. So many people without their partners, General sadness and despair. Like 5 years of Closing Time.

Main character is super annoying. She seems to have an inferiority complex since she's always trying to prove how much better she is at everything. The rest of the show seems to exist just to tear down the older MCU characters and men in general. At least when she hulks out, she becomes somewhat attractive.

I thought it was meh. I liked the idea of Bruce's blood getting into her blood and bringing the hulk powers with it. I did not like that she was able to hulk and de-hulk so easily and she was able to control in 10 sec what it took years for Bruce to master. Hanging out at the beach just seemed to drag on and on and the Hulk-Hulk fight at the end was kind of stupidly stumbled into and pretty gratuitous in my opinion. That being said, it's an interesting concept and I hope the writing improves through the rest of the series.

I really liked the first one - but I've liked the first one of A LOT of these Marvel shows (most of which haven't turned out all that great), so I'm reserving judgment until it's all over. Tatiana is certainly the best actress they've had starring in one of these series so far (and yes, I'm including Elizabeth Olsen in my assessment).

I watched the first episode today and I really like the adult humor and the post credits scene. I'll watch episode 2.

I know it's subjective, but man, anyone who doesn't think that Tatiana Maslany is screaming with charisma no matter who she's playing...I disagree with that opinion.

Really really enjoyed it. Thought the CGI looked pretty decent, especially Smart Hulk.
Not sure how much I'll like it once the Hulk is not as heavily involved, but definitely a great start.

The pilot was restructured a good amount; all the origin stuff was intended for episode 8. So we’ll probably be diving into the “regular” show/her new life soon.

I thought it was a little too exposition-y (didn't care for the 4th wall stuff either), but otherwise a lot of fun. Tatiana elevates everything, of course.
I wanna see a Harvey Birdman crossover ep.

Overall, I liked it. If they really did restructure the show to put the origin first (instead of episode 8), I definitely think that worked. So let's see how that affects the rest of the show.
I was someone who was straight up mortified by the CGI Quality in the first trailer. But for this first episode, it had apparently been refined enough that while I would not say it was amazing, it certainly was not distractingly bad.
Maslany was excellent. Her banter with ruffalo (in normal and hulk form) was natural and some good comedy.

The episode order was slightly different — we changed things up a little bit in post. Most of the pilot that you see was actually Episode 8. We waited until the very end of the season to really reveal her origin story.

The showrunner said the same thing on Larry Wilmore's podcast this week. Most of what we see as the pilot was supposed to be episode 8 then they changed it to episode four and then they moved it to the first episode and added the breaking of the fourth wall exposition to make it work. Gao said if she knew this was going to be the pilot, she would have written it differently but I think it works.

I fucking hate fandom and most of all, ignorant gatekeepers. The first episode was great but assholes who apparently have never picked up a She-Hulk book have decided to review bomb the series everywhere they can. Right now, it has the most 1 ratings for a Disney MCU property. It's fucking ridiculous how people can deal with strong female characters.
