Kim centered episode? That's what the title hints at.

Congrats to whoever it was here who predicted that Carol Burnett's character would find videos of Saul on her computer.
Good callback to "Escape" by Rupert Holmes. Will escape be possible for Saul and Kim?

Man, I really thought he was going to garrote Carol Burnett with that phone cord.

Stealing watches? That seemed to be out-of-character....unless it was just showing how far down he's come.

Like I've repeatedly said in these threads... a happy ending is not this writing team's style. Ain't gonna be no happy ending here brother.
The Kim stuff was riveting and soul crushingly mundane at the same time. I very much did not expect them to go there with her coming clean. Howard's wife was still wearing her wedding ring. It's been 6 or 8 years and it's still haunting her. Just sad and tragic all around.
When Hank & Gomez are in the burned up lab they talk about finding two dead bodies. Which from memory were two Gus guys Walt & Jesse killed while getting into the lab and they got burned up in the final fire. For awhile I had thought this show was trying to say the two bodies they referenced were actually Howard & Lalo. But Kim's line about no one knowing where Howard's body is puts that to bed. They never discovered them.
I still hate the black and white and feel like I would be more griped by the finishing stretch if this was in color like the rest of the series. But no sense complaining. It is what it is. Bring on the final episode and the final Walt flashback.

The black and white presentation really added to the depressing feel of this episode.
Good episode. Jimmy has fallen a long way down - acting like a standard thief and someone who has the potential to kill someone (ie. just about ready to strangle Jeff's mom". He had a slight moment of redemption by just letting Jeff's mom call in the emergency.
Feel bad for Kim. She's now leading a normal life, but she's just going through the motions.
I couldn't help but notice that when Kim was waiting for the shuttle bus, the "Alaska" sign was showcased.

I couldn’t figure out what episode / season of Amazing Race Kim’s husband was watching.
Saw a horse shoe task? Had to be an episode after 2010 Breaking Bad timeline?

Yep. Yep. Yep.
Was Saul trying to get in touch with Ed Galbraith at the vacuum shop in the teaser? Or at least remember the details. I wonder where that will go since Robert Forster is gone. Maybe just get a disconnected number? Archive footage?
My guess is Saul lives. Because he will have to live with everything he's done before BB, during BB, and after BB. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he kills himself in jail or gets killed by some disgruntled client or supporter of someone he got killed or ripped off.

I've been really down on the last couple of episodes, but this was a real return to form for me. Even the Jesse cameo was handled in a much better way.
My only real complaint was about the scene at the drugged guy's house. I couldn't decide if Jimmy was being stupid or really wanted to get caught. He was taking big unnecessary risks. And then the reaction of the cab driver just felt forced. I understand why he panicked, but you're a cab driver. You drive for a living. You'd think you could take that turn a little better, even in a frantic state. Plus, with no siren or even movement from the cop car, why run the stop sign and guarantee getting pulled over, even without the accident. Maybe we'll get a little more that explains it. If not, it felt lazy.
It's like I am fine with where they wound up but think it could have been handled a little cleaner on how they got there. Once they did get there, it was interesting to see how quickly Jimmy slipped right out of Jimmy or Gene and right back into Saul. The scene with Carol Burnett was really strong. You could basically see the battle between Saul and Jimmy playing out. If she hadn't said what she did and brought back out Jimmy, she could have been in real trouble.
All roads seem headed to jail and perhaps one last moment between him and Kim, but I'm sure there will be some curveballs coming.

Man such a good, depressing episode. I was so bummed out with all the Kim stuff. That said, her affidavit coming clean about Howard felt absolutely like something she would do after Saul told her to turn herself in. It really was a great episode. Saul went full self-destructive, first time we’ve ever seen him menacing. Odenkirk absolutely deserves an Emmy for this final stretch. He’s never been better.

Mostly what I noticed in that scene was while he was watching TAR Kim was doing a large puzzle with no image, just one solid color.

That fits right in the time line. Saul calls Kim on Nov 12, so just a few days later, as portrayed on the show.
