Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
I find those largely agreeable, largely because I love Severance and Only Murders in the Building.
SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A LIMITED OR ANTHOLOGY SERIES, OR MOVIE Connie Britton, The White Lotus Jennifer Coolidge, The White Lotus Alexandra Daddario, The White Lotus Kaitlyn Dever, Dopesick Natasha Rothwell, The White Lotus Sydney Sweeney, The White Lotus Mare Winningham, Dopesick  My guess is White Lotus is winning best Limited Series / Anthology, Succession is winning best Drama, and Comedy is a toss up between Hacks, Murders and Lasso |
Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
Damn... Better Call Saul clearly needs to win since it got shut out so many times. But it almost feels like something like Squid Game or Severance could come in with an upset.

Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
Murderer's row of a category :
LEAD ACTOR IN A COMEDY Donald Glover, Atlanta Bill Hader, Barry Nicholas Hoult, The Great Steve Martin, Only Murders in the Building Martin Short, Only Murders in the Building Jason Sudeikis, Ted Lasso |
Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
Yea, it must be cool for Glover to get nominated as a lead when he wasn't in half the episodes of the season.

Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
I haven't seen this season yet. But you only submit a single episode for consideration in the lead category, so he meets the requirements.

SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY Anthony Carrigan, Barry Brett Goldstein, Ted Lasso Toheeb Jimoh, Ted Lasso Nick Mohammed, Ted Lasso Tony Shalhoub, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Tyler James Williams, Abbott Elementary Henry Winkler, Barry Bowen Yang, Saturday Night Live But in that group, he’s not going to win. |
Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
Pleasantly surprised Sydney Sweeney was nominated for Euphoria.

i hope Dopesick and Keaton win big.

Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
Pretty much show or actor is from a cable or streaming series. With the exception of a few SNL nominees.
Network TV dramas are no longer must see or prestige television. Very pleased to see Rhea Seehorn's nomination. Long overdue. |

Granny's upset. "Blue Bloods" was snubbed again. |
Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
I didn't see Dopesick. Guess I should
OB, did you see Under The Banner of Heaven and The Staircase? Because Garfield and Firth were both amazing. |
Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
Dang, totally thought Sadie Sink was going to get a nomination.

Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
I'm a little surprised that Yellowstone didn't get a single nomination.
I know her character isn't really likeable. But, I think Kelly Reilly would have deserved a nomination for supporting actor. |

Re: 2022 Emmy Awards discussion -- Show: 9/12/22 on NBC
Yeah, upon reflection, this is actually the worst, most incomprehensible snub.
