No. Season 5 was eligible in the 2020 Emmys (the year when people in hazmet suits delivered boxes to the nominee's house). Last year, no BCS was eligible. The eligibility period is June 1- May 31. So S6 E1-7 were eligible for the 2022 Emmys but S6 E 8-13 will be eligible for the 2023 Emmys (and were the stronger episodes overall, especially Fun and Games and Saul's Gone). Of course they will have long lost any sort of momentum, but there's a chance they'll be honored on their way out the door like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos and Mad Men's John Hamm were.

I believe that since the second half of season 6 premiered and ran in next year's eligibility calendar, those episodes will be eligible for submission. I think the first half of season 6 was handicapped by the fact that the episodes were not yet available on Netflix. Season 6.2 will be helped by the fact that by next year's Emmy voting, the entire final season will be on Netflix.

EDIT: I was typing when Decker posted.

Ah. Forgot about the split-season bullshit AMC likes to pull.

To be fair, this split season was at least partly a result of Bob Odenkirk's near-fatal heart attack. Can't put all the blame on AMC in this particular case.

Near fatal heart attack? or ploy by Odenkirk to wring another year of award eligibility out of the role?

Yeah, I was just about to say, wasn't Dopesick widely praised? I do want to see it, I love depressing drug movies, I just don't have Hulu.
