I’ve heard this final episode is supposed to be longer. Curious if that’s true or not. I’ve heard like ninety minutes.

^^ Not true? Any context to that?
I heard 60 minute finale with a 30 minute Q&A.

Okay, well at least I see where the confusion came in. Still a sixty minute finale is pretty good. I’ll probably watch the Q&A too.

The Q&A is in regard to the finale screening at a theatre, which is where this false run time thing started.

"When I left you..." is referring to his initial turn in ROTS.
Preparing for the worst. Honestly there is no reason to believe this will be any better than what we've already seen. Sorta similar to ROTS anticipation, lol! See ya'll on the other side....

Some really great moments in this. I almost felt bad for Vader when Kenobi starting kicking the shit out of him. I guess he’s got a lot of those helmets laying around.
This episode proved Reva was totally pointless. I’m convinced she was shoehorned in just to allow for them to create a series for her. What a waste of time. There was probably a good 2 hour movie in there once.
Nice to FINALLY see Obi-Wan communing with his master.

When all is said and done, it was a good finale. The big fight scene with Vader and Obi-Wan was predictable and anticlimactic. Of course nothing crazy was going to happen.
But I liked Obi-Wan’s moments with Leia and getting to meet Luke for the first time.
I kind of expected Liam Neeson to make a cameo at the end. They’ve been hinting it from the start. But it was good seeing him back as Qui-Gon Jin.
Good, not great series. Definitely better than Boba Fett though.

This still comes in behind Boba Fett for me...that had two truly great episodes, while this hardly had any scenes on that level. In the end there just wasn't much of a story to tell here, and of course the execution did it no favors.
Best part was everyone's closing scenes - Vader, Leia, Luke, Ben... they stuck the landing on those thank goodness.

Would it have killed the showrunners to throw in some prequel music in that Vader/ Kenobi duel? Jesus.... Duel of the Fates/ Battle of Heroes.....something.....anything.
Hopefully some YouTube wizard gives us the " Renegade Version" of this series, which includes prequel music, no Reva, and edits out some useless scenes.
I also thought
looked fucking weird at the end.

Yeah, Palpatine looked off. Like they got his eyes and brows wrong.
Colossally stupid bit of writing, when Obi-Wan gets in the escape pod to draw the Star Destroyer away from the Rebel ship.
Um... you have a whole fucking Star Destroyer following a tiny transport with a blown hyperdrive. I would think that they could follow both. Not sure why Vader just didn't hop in a shuttle and follow Obi-Wan himself instead of having the Star Destroyer disengage the pursuit of the transport. He did up hopping a shuttle anyway. Even if he couldn't get to a shuttle in time, I'm sure that there are smaller ships, like TIE Fighters, that could have chased down Obi-Wan, anyway.
It was a stupid plan on Obi-Wan's part, and even stupider that Vader fell for it.

Stuck the landing. Great battle with Vader and Obi and cool to see the broken helmet like we have seen in cartoons.
So now we have an explanation why Leia did not mention knowing Obi on the recording in A New Hope. No fancy mind wipe needed. They can not say they know each other, and especially if The Empire grabbed the recording.
Would love to see a Vader series next.

Nostalgia checklist
Qui Gon
Kenobi pointing with the saber
“Hello there”
Explaning why Leia “acts as if she doesn’t know him” in Ep IV
Hayden in the helmet
Skyhopper toy delivery
Luke meeting Ben so he can recognize him later
Resolving the Vader quote “Obi Wan once though as you do.” (Kenobi referred to Vader as "Anakin" and believing Skywalker was still inside the suit. But that thought was shot down with the realization that there is no more Anakin--only Vader.)

I think we have a large set of the fandom who are more than happy to just see characters, references, and lines show up, without any interest in whether it's actually good or not. I just want something that's well executed, has some drama and is engaging - this series had next to none of that. Nostalgia by itself is not enough, it should be the icing on the cake to an already great scene - not used to mask poor ones.
I'd have been perfectly happy with no callbacks if the series was about Obi-Wan rescuing a group of people, fighting off enemies who are after them while evading the Empire.

Yeah I'm crazy like that. I'm happy to see characters again that I love and am grateful for it. Many fandoms do not get that. But I also enjoyed the show.

That exchange between Obi and Anakin was unexpected. Anakin absolves Obi of his failure by admitting it was Vader that destroyed Anakin.

well, that series was certainly a let down. lots of Star Wars, but no heart, soul, or story for that matter.

No story?
This is the Star Wars version of How Stella Got Her Groove Back... it's How Kenobi Got His Jedi Mojo Back (and learned to forgive himself for past mistakes)
There were capers & hijinks along the way that not everyone appreciated, but in the end it is a character story of Kenobi's spiritual comeback.
