holding her was considered dangerous when Vader did it in Ep. IV. (I think "dangerous" was the word used by the Imperial Officer who asked Vader about it at the beginning of that film, but it may have been another adjective.) I don't know what's dangerous about it, but the Imperial Senate was still in place during this show, so maybe appearances matter.

Wasn't the quote that if word got out it could generate sympathy for the rebellion? If so, I would think it would be more 'dangerous" now as the rebellion is just trying to get off the ground, so to speak, and should be the easiest to squash now. Before it gets a chance to grow.

I forgot to mention my “disgust” with how fast Obi-Wan recovered from his burns. GTFO with that BS!
Took me around 1 to 1.5 months to fully recover from 2nd and 3rd degree burns that covered 40% of my forearm. And I’m suppose to believe he recovered that quickly. Not even a Bacta tank is that powerful.

Are you a Force user?
I think not.

I didn't think it looked like he was badly burned in episode three. He probably should have been, but, it didn't look like he took much damage by the time that droid pulled him from the fire.

Finally saw this episode for myself and it was very "meh". Reva's running is ridiculous... maybe it's the boots? Why do all people in a bacta tank writhe back and forth? Do they all have HORRIBLE memories of what just happened to them that it causes them to involuntarily recoil? Obi Wan not taking a stormtroopers gear to rescue Leia was preposterous. On the plus side, seeing Snowspeeders in that particular role was very cool... the CGI was a bit off, but still cool.

Between this and Book of Boba Fett, they're really pushing the Bacta Tanks.
It almost feels like product placement.

Look at how awful the hand to hand combat is at the 23:58 mark in this episode. Tala literally slaps a stormtrooper on the side of the helmet. It's so slapsticky funny looking.

I'm surprised that Lucas didn't think to show Anakin in a Bacta tank in Revenge of the Sith because you know...it's like poetry, it rhymes... Maybe they can do a special Bacta edition of RotS with a Bacta scene with Anakin added. I'm not sure if Bacta should be capitalized or not. Is it a brand name or just a generic term?
I guess Obi-wan gets much better at sneaking around heavily guarded imperial bases in the next 10 years...for the most part.
I wonder if LFL is already planning on the little Leia actress continuing to play her when they remake the OT in ten years.

was it just me or did the scale of the speeders at the end seem way off? They looked almost miniature compared to what I remember from Hoth. Also, since when can a speeder hover which it seemed to do when it was shooting are Reva?? Some really weird stuff going on with this show.

Trying to casually stroll past everyone while smuggling Leia her under his coat was straight up Scooby-Doo hilarious.

Why can't it?
Just because we didn't see the speeders on Hoth hover in the 4 minutes we saw them, does that mean they can't? If I drive someone around in my car for 4 minutes did they see everything it can do and every little feature?
We can't apply Earth technology & physics to a made-up world. Besides, in Star Wars they have "repulsorlifts."

I think folks are expecting too much. This is good old fashioned Star Wars hijinks with the benefit of the Anakin/Obi-Wan drama for the feels.
And nice to see the underwater breather make an appearance.

Episode 4 with them rescuing in the Death Star while wearing stormtrooper outfits is pure hijinks. The trash compactor scene with them yelling at the droids just caps that off. In all seriousness, Star Wars was never meant to be taken too seriously.

Re: Obi-Wan Kenobi (S1E04) - "Part IV" - 6/8/22
I'm actually enjoying this for what it is. People are coming down hard on a lot of the real-world physics being askew but completely are at peace with Ewoks with sticks knocking out fully armored Stormtroopers with a soft blow to the head, etc.
Still, many of the criticisms are valid. Reva is poorly acted/directed/written. I'm guessing she's Ice Cube Jr's wife. But then any character who was about to torture a 10 year old girl is pretty much irredeemable, yet I'm sure they'll find a way anyhow because reasons/representation, whatever.
The death of "Wade"? Who was that again? Why should i care? Develop a character before you ask me to mourn for them.
Thoughts about Obi-Wan/Leia knowing each other and reconciling that with Episode 4:
Star Wars isn't science fiction, it's high-falutin' space opera/fantasy. The more they try to make it real and gritty, the dumber it gets. Maybe Rogue One being the only exception to that rule. It works best being big, bold, epic, and silly. And fun.

One thing I don't think anyone has said but has bugged the shit out of me is seeing Obi Wan struggle with the force being a master and all even though sure 10 yrs. Just shines a massive light on how much utter bullshit Rey was being not even knowing the force was real , to mind tricking a guard and all the other bullshit just 40 minutes later....

If The Madalorian hadn't been released first and paved the way for how fresh and exciting a Star Wars TV show could actually be, I'd be more forgiving of Obi-Wan. As it stands now, Obi-Wan just gets dumber for me with each episode.
The budget is there along with some wonderful talent to put together an outstanding show. Behind the scenes decisions to go with the show's writing and some casting choices has me scratching my head.
Obi-Wan is turning into Battlestar Galactica (the first season) when it could have been Battlestar Galactica (the second season).

By the end of Boba Fett, I was sick of Tatooine. But I wish this show actually spent more time on there. Kenobi dealing with the wretched scum and villainy of Mos Eisely, drinking at the Cantina, etc...with two episodes left I don't think we will find out how he became that old wizard in Episode IV.
Just seems like it's leading to his final battle with Vader with one last attempt to turn him because there's still "good in him" like Luke did in Episode VI.
