Yeah, my wife made me rewind to see what was going on with her on that shot walking on the porch. She could give William Peterson and Harrison Ford a run for their money.

What are you quoting that called it a limited series?

That was my bad. I deleted my post. I think I just assumed it was a limited series since it was an odd number of episodes.

I am starting up Episode 3 today, and so far so good (I watched the first two episodes yesterday evening). It bears repeating that this series has an amazing cast of long-term talented actors and actresses. I do like that this first season should be mostly wrapped up once all seven episodes have aired.

This show is brilliant. Twists galore. Ep. 4 incredible. Forget Bridges who is great, but Brenneman and Lithgow are fucking killing it. Hell, even Shawkat is great. But this show, absolutely leaves me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. Brilliant.

Wow.
epsisode 3 with that “twist” that someone guessed earlier in this topic blew me away.
Granted I don’t generally try to figure out things like that while watching a show but even so it really surprised me.

When you watch a show like this everyone is Suspect.
The girl at the bus, Amy Breneman all of them.

Like the man doesn't have enough on his plate. I bet he's kicking himself for not leaving when she first told him no pets.

another solid ep. i guess only 1 more, right? sad he had to leave the dogs, but they gotta be back. they were so good. i hate to say it, but it seems everyone is doing great stuff. greater than Bridges. Joel Silver is killing it and please give Lithgow the Emmy now. nice twist that:
Spoiler:
he knew she was Emily all along. then Joel Silver's reveal.

great stuff. can't wait for the finale!!

He only recently figured it out mostly because of Emily's significant interest in her mother. Fantastic show

Loved Bridges turning into John Wick in the meeting with the Russian. "That's twice"

Was I the only who looked up Joel Grey's age when Lithgow called him the old man thinking he can't be much older than the two of them? I didn't realize he's 90, 14 years older than Lithgow and 18 years older than Bridges.

Kind of a meh finale

The reveal that
Spoiler:
Angela is Hamzad's biological daughter

wasn't much of a surprise.

Not sure what part Zoe would play in season 2 since they seemed to rush to move her along so they could get Lithgow and Bridges together.

Julian turning into a super soldier and wiping out Hamzad's team was pretty funny considering his fight with Chase earlier in the season.

Yeah the big reveal was one we all saw coming. Kind of just petered out at the end so they must've known they were greenlit for more seasons. The show just isn't the same without Dave and Carol around and I'm only half kidding.

I watched the last scene, and not realizing it was the last scene fast-forwarded and was shocked when I saw the credits. Genuinely frustrated that they left it there.

Re: The Old Man (FX) -- S: Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow, Amy Brenneman -- Premieres 6/16/22

I loved it. It kept me on the edge each of the 7 episodes and this last ep was no exception. I had no idea half the show was:

Spoiler:
a flashback and that young stud was Jeff Bridges. No idea Emily was Hamzadís daughter.

Every ep was breathtaking and on the edge. I loved everything about it considering last ep which ties it all together. It was great tv that ended on a cliffhanger. Many great shows do. At least I was satisfied and canít wait for more.
