I enjoyed the episode, but you're not wrong, CPA-ESQ. I hadn't considered that the tunnel went under the street. That's a bit ridiculous.

Let's be honest the Gus under the street tunnel was quite far fetched. I would not see Gus taking the risk on all that construction, dirt removal, and even running the risk that the highway department or town decide to do work or install drainage etc and this is exposed. When he built the underground lab this was done in industrial areas and under a laundry facility.
Did it look cool? Yes, but now Gus is becoming a member of C.O.B.R.A or a James Bond villain - we just accept he has a whole army of hired henchmen, elaborate 'layers' disguised as houses, office buildings, restaurants, etc. He had people that can do his bidding, hideouts, motels, and loyal workers in those locations.
What made him so cool was that he played everything close to the vest, only had 2 or so very trusted "fixers," and he was successful because he didn't have a huge entourage or "cartel" like family - where if one guy gets pinched then the whole house of cards falls.

I was wondering if we were supposed to think this was all set up by Gus out of fear of Lalo's retaliation, or was it all there already, albeit with less security.

could have been a new development/construction of previously empty lots/desert. The couple talked about different houses but didn’t know the land boundaries implying that things were new or confusing. Fring buys adjacent houses with shell corporations and installs “fallout” shelters. I let it go as I thought the fbi/dea was monitoring him but it turns out he was monotoring his surroundings.

I know it's silly, but I'm glad the show is ending. Not because I don't love it, but because I find all the actor's advancing age more and more distracting. I mean, Mike and Fring look 20 years older than their first BB appearance

No way this wasn't done far in advance. Lalo's been on the run for what, a couple weeks? The planning and construction for something like this would take months.

Another minor miss for me. The tunnel undermines the entire meth lab, though I guess the argument could be that the tunnel he built is the inspiration for the lab but still dumb.
My not really serious Kim/Wendy theory disproved
Seems like so much to cover and almost nothing has happened for 2 episodes.

can someone help me out with this? I know the spinoff movie is El Camino and the restaurant Mike and Kim met at has the same name but is there a tie-in between the two? Have not watched the movie since it came out.

Nothing in the Gilligan-verse is just coincidental.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence, more so a head nod. But of course, there could be some connection coming.

I think that may be a hint that Kim will be taking a metaphorical El Camino and escaping/hiding.

^ I thought that as well. Might just be wishful thinking.

I thought this was so funny : People are review-bombing BCS Season 6 on Amazon Prime because they can't watch the entire season today! Like they are expecting to see July's final episode now because they paid $25.
Do the people who buy the current season of SNL in October expect to get the whole year's worth of shows on that day as well?
