This show is so freaking good. I never want the episodes to end. I just love it so. The characters are great. Williams, especially, is killing it. Ford plays his cranky self well and Segel is really just playing himself, but deftly. I love the continual fun I’m having with this show. Slowly evolving, the characters, especially Sean. He’s become a great character. I wasn’t sure in the beginning, but now that he is looser, freer so to speak, his character is certainly evolving and I love it. Love everything about this series, especially that Bret Goldstein writes some eps. Maybe all I dunno. But it’s great dialog. Well written by Roy Fucking Kent!

How close are we to Season 1 ending? I watched the first episode a while back and liked it. But I want to watch the whole series over a couple days.

Watched the first episode of this after watching the season three premiere of Ted Lasso. Enjoyed it pretty well. Seems like a slow burn type of show and I feel like it’ll grow on me more after watching more.

With so many heavy dramas and darker subject matter out there en masse, it's so pleasant to have a half hour escape of genuine laughter.
Shrinking fills this void for our household.

Damn... what a great show. Apple TV is hitting it out of the park with this and Ted Lasso.

We’re late to this but checked out the first episode and enjoyed it. Will check in on another to see if we like it further.

Just started watching this with my wife. Harrison Ford is fucking awesome in this. This is a really funny yet sweet show. Also, Ted McGinley is a national treasure.

I just finished the season finale and I loved this season except for that last scene. I laughed out loud a lot during the finale. McGinley and Ford were hilarious in it.

Wife and I blasted through this in about 4 days. She said she liked it more than Ted Lasso. I didn't, but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

We finished it up and enjoyed it. Only two things I didn’t care for were the “safe d” plot and as somebody else said the ending. Not only did “safe d” go on too long, but it feels weird. It did strike me during the last session he didn’t say a disclaimer when talking about hiking…
Ohhh! I knew he seemed familiar too, but didn’t figure that out!

So I just came back to this with only a couple of episodes left —got out of the habit of watching during the NBA and NHL playoffs. I still like it, but I need one thing clarified : Wendy Malick is supposed to be Paul’s neurologist? And Paul is elderly with a degenerative brain disease? And she is having sex with him? And it’s not being played as a horrific violation, but rather for laughs and poignancy? And everyone who was horrified that Jimmy was telling his patients to stand up for themselves is totally fine with this?
Because that is really an awful, awful thing to do. It would absolutely get her license suspended and probably land her in jail. I can’t quite get my head around that.

I don't think they're going for reality in medical ethics on this show since it's, you know, a farcist comedy.

Well both Paul and Gaby were constantly admonishing Jimmy for being too direct with his patients -- that's kind of the whole point of the show (i.e. the opening credits), and Jimmy was rightly horrified when a patient tried to kiss him, so it's not like they're not aware that doctor-patient boundaries exist in their universe.

Amen. This show is such a breezy delight. Equal parts: sweet, funny, tender. All in a good way. The characters are so enjoyable. They play off each other so well. Williams is as equally good as Ford and Segel. And the girl playing the daughter is good and his patient he takes in. So good and charming. I’m sad I finished the three eps already. Tough wait till what, Friday? It’s a show you just smile from.
Binged it this weekend, after having watched the first 2 eps.. when it was out, I struggled getting past the scene at Alice's soccer practice. so it didn't feel light and breezy
Glad I got through it though it
Always enjoyed Jessica Williams on the daily show, I think Jason Segal is the weakest character on the show.

I watched the whole season awhile back. I enjoyed it for the most part, but there was something that felt a little off to me that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I think it was the very heightened "every character is always super quick-witted" nature of the dialog juxtaposed with the relatively heavy situational content that didn't feel like it balanced well for me, or something along those lines.
