I dunno. I know when I was watching it I got really excited about them doing a "proper" sequel trilogy with the OT three starring. But I understand that's a huge leap to have the actual principle cast being digital puppets.

Re: The Book of Boba Fett (S1E06) - “Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger” - 2/2/22

I just can’t get into Luke following all the Jedi rules all of a sudden, when he went against the grain for everything. For being hippies of the galaxies, they sure have stupid rules. And for him to all of a sudden follow it, stinks. Because I always thought Luke would have been the one to change things for the better. I’m not a ST fan, but him being like this could explain Kylo. Maybe the ghost of Obi, Yoda, Qui Gon, Anakin drove him insane. They won’t even let him jerk off, with that awesome robot hand grip. Always appearing at the wrong time. Which brings up the point of, wouldn’t the force ghost be helping Luke out, especially Yoda with Grogu. That species seems to have mental issues, and Luke needs help.

Also, I haven’t caught what they are calling the rebellion in this time frame. But for them to go against the clinching fist of the empire, to be a police state and pull everyone over with the xwing cops, is odd to me both times it has happened. I can see them just blasting anyone out of the sky, when they won’t do what they say. Also this could explain why so many have joined the FO.

I am going to let the Luke thing play out though it bothered me a bit as well (the attachment thing). But he does get to a point in the future where he realizes the Jedi teachings were wrong and reaches the conclusion that the Jedi simply need to go away forever, so I guess it would make sense that he is following their teachings for now.

I still don't get why Lucas thought it was a good idea to make the Jedi a bunch of space virgins who won't even bother to free slaves on a planet except for a "special" one, but that's neither here nor there.

Probably my favorite episode of either The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett to date! just awesome from start to finish. This is the Star Wars I’ve wanted since so was 4 years old!

The argument about continuing to bring Luke back and shrink the Star Wars universe can be made but. I. Don’t. Give. A. Shit! I LOVE seeing young Luke again. Just the idea of being able to spend a other 45 minutes with the Luke we all know and love is incredible. It’s kind of like being able to spend a few more minutes with a dead loved one. At this point, I hope they retcon Luke from the ST and give his character a better ending.

I’m guessing The Mandalorian and Boba Fett shows will merge a bit more and we’ll get some Boba Fett-centric episodes of the new season of The Mandalorian.

If something epic happened in this episode I must have completely missed it!

I watched a YouTube video that put an interesting spin on it. Since Ahsoka is there she could tell Luke everything that happened and how his father's downfall was her attachment to Padme (I don't think it really was I think it was more the Jedi that failed Anakin but maybe that's what she told Luke) so even though it was his attachments that saved his father maybe he was trying to teach the "proper" jedi way. Kind of like how a professor will teach you the proper way in a classroom setting but then a colleague will teach you the real way it's done in the field. So maybe it does make sense that he would embrace the jedi way and then later reach the conclusion that the jedi were wrong all along. I tell you what I'm going through the clone wars right now for the first time and there are definitely some morally questionable things that the jedi do in the series.

It really was amazing and I'm actually really glad it happened on a Disney+ show because it really gave the whole moment room to breathe. As controversial as the Rise of Skywalker was I think one moment that people really liked was the glimpse of Leia training with Luke. It was a beautiful moment and another glimpse of the trilogy we should have gotten.

I wish they'd do away with CGI Luke and just give the part to an actor (Sebastian Stan). The CGI was done very well but it didn't quite look like Luke to me... so just make it easy on yourselves, Disney. And once you do that, please, please give us a Luke show. Give us a Vader show too. We all know how this shit-show ends so fill in the blanks with the good Jedi-hunting action we want to see.

Re: The Book of Boba Fett (S1E06) - “Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger” - 2/2/22

Wow I guess I am much MUCH more casual than the average "fan" here. I thought this episode was a complete snoozer. I actually saw it over 3 days because I kept falling asleep. I liked the Western duel stuff but disliked the stuff with Luke. It looked fake and it was clearly not has voice. I don't get the whole rigid Jedi stuff with Luke just seems out of place.

My biggest question though is this:

Is Grogu evil? I seriously think he might be, and having him remember things might not be in everyone's interest.

I never said I didn't like this episode, just that there was nothing epic that happened in it. I don't see how someone can say there was a moment as big as Vader telling Luke that he was has father in this episode.

And I never said you didn't like the episode. It's ok you're not a fan we get it. And I said it was up there nearly as I am your father I did not say it was as big. But this episode is hands down one of the top 3 star wars moments ever.

I'm glad you said it... I found it mostly a snoozer. Mostly... because Cad Bane was bad ass but the rest was slow and not pertinent to the advancement of The Book of Boba Fett (aside from the bar being blown up). I love seeing Luke and Ahsoka but they didn't do anything and the CGI looks off. Leaning on Mando to make a Boba Fett show better is just not what I'd expect in Season 1. Boba should be the total bad ass and Mando should be sort of an understudy. But Mando is slicing people in half, Mando has the Darksaber, Mando is interfacing with Jedi and Empire leaders... Boba is chasing kitchen robots and getting his ass handed to him by cooler characters.

A little(or a lot) over the top to say this was one of the top Star Wars moments. It's nice to see Luke and R2 again but nothing significant really happened. If Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford actually appeared in a scene together again that would be a great moment.

Star Wars fans really are the worst. I don’t know how anyone that’s a fan can watch this episode and just go…meh. This is what we’ve been asking for since Return of the Jedi.
