I think the last 10% or so for me would be adding in the subtle imperfections.(skin, hair, wrinkles, general aging) Right now he actually looks a little younger than he did in Jedi to me. (and of course we're 5+ yrs after that) Looking at Hamill in Jedi, he was definitely showing some wear and tear, whereas this version still has that 'Ken doll' look.

This was the best episode yet of the new episodic Star Wars. It had everyone in it, it moved the plot along. It was just flat out awesome. Filoni is amazing at what he has done with Lucas's universe.

I feel like I’m missing so much I guess I’m going to try to make it through Clone Wars again for the 3rd try.

I just don't understand the point of this show. It has done such a disservice to the Boba Fett character, making him much less interesting and minimizing his importance in the Star Wars universe. They should have just saved all this good stuff for the next season of The Mandalorian and skipped this series altogether.

I can’t really add much that hasn’t been said, but damn. So many epic moments in this episode. Filoni and Favreau have really course corrected Star Wars so much.
The Luke deepfake stuff wasn’t always perfect, but I didn’t really care because it was still cool to see him again. Also loved seeing more of Grogu, R2, and Ahsoka.
Totally didn’t expect Cad Bane’s appearance, but he fits the motif of the space western vibe these Disney+ Star Wars shows have going.
Looking forward to seeing the season (series?) finale.

Absolutely fantastic episode. I don't care if deepfake Luke isn't perfect - it's close enough for me. Loved Olyphant in this .. hope it's just a flesh wound.
Totally expect Grogu to get the armor so he can go back with next season of Mandalorian and this series can get back to telling the story of Boba Fett... But I think all these characters are part of his story so I expect and hope they continue to weave in and out as it goes.

All these references. Is the Clone Wars series worth watching (including the movie)? What about Rebels and the other follow up shows?

Personally, I'd say yes to Clone Wars, Rebels, and Bad Batch. You're going to get a lot of filler, but the good parts are really good.
I wonder if Fennec Shand will ever bring up the fact to Boba that she knew other clones, or if we'll see Omega. Fennec fought Cad Bane in the past because of her.

Not much to add. Just an awesome fun episode, a total geek fest.
Felt like Luke’s choice to Grogu was a little like divorce dad asking “Do you want to live with me and Kathy, or do you want to go live with your mother?”.

Re: The Book of Boba Fett (S1E06) - “Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger” - 2/2/22
I suppose what it comes down to is the idea of attachment. If Grogu has bonded with Din Djarin, then he's been forming attachments. And like Luke's father, who trained as a Jedi when he was old enough to have bonded with his mother, which led to him later marrying Padme, which formed a bond which led him to make choices that took him down the path to the Dark Side, there's probably a lot of concern about a being of such power (and a lack of impulse control) mastering the Force.
Then again, it was Luke's love for his sister and his bond with father -- not to mention Vader's love for his son -- that led to the downfall of Sidious and the balancing of the Force.
When looking at the PT and OT, I thought that Luke would end up rebuilding the Jedi into a "grayer" order and rejecting the dogmantic notion of abandoning attachments since love was the thing that ultimately defeated the Sith.

So did Cad Bane walk all the way there and back, so he could make a cool entrance?

Bringing the animated characters to live action is quite the feat. I thought they did a pretty good job with Cad Bane. Some people are saying the skin color was too light, but those eyes...so badass.

Yeah, I've heard people claim that Luke came off dickish in that scene.

And you're right Luke was like a rebirth of the jedi order in a new era in that his connections with his father and Leia allowed him to succeed in "saving" them. So while it was a neat scene and consistent to the old jedi order it is a bit odd that Luke would give Grogu that choice when he himself never had to make that choice. He always got to have his cake and eat it too.

OMG this was one of the greatest 45 mins of Star Wars. I loved just seeing Luke and Grogu walking around and discussing the same lessons that Yoda bestowed upon Luke in Dagobah. I literally teared up when watching that and then hearing the Yoda theme. So incredible.

Cobb Vanth better not be dead. In a show with Boba Fett, a black spikey armored wookiee, Cad Bane, and a Mandalorian he still manages to be the coolest motherfucker on the screen. That's saying something.
I guess I'm in the minority thinking that the Luke CGI looked way worse than before, although I see they are starting to incorporate some of older Mark Hamill's features (ie the crooked nose) so maybe that's what is throwing me off.
Asoka telling Luke he's like his father was kind of a dick move. LOL.

Cobb Vanth is not dead. He gets clearly shot in the shoulder. He needs to be alive to rally the FreeTown people to help Fett.

I wonder how far we might be away from a "Jedi Academy" series starring a deep-fake Luke. I mean that CGI had to be super-expensive, so I'm not sure an entire show could be done at this point...but in a few years, maybe.
