Another great episode!

Spoiler:
Getting to see Slave I come up behind that biker gang was a such great shot. I'm feel sure now that the Pykes killed those Tuskens and made it look like that gang did it.

I just don't care if they don't use the name Slave I. I will still call it that, but I still call the first movie Star Wars and not A New Hope. it doesn't bother me. Not worth getting worked up about.

After 4 episodes, I think we've seen everything from all of the trailers, so the last three episodes should be even more surprising.

Spoiler:
I loved the scene with Boba telling Fennec his thought and motivations. I thought it was obvious from the context of the show, but nice to see it spelled out.

"You can only get so far without a tribe."

Spoiler:
The Chef Grievous droid was awesome!

Seeing Garsa Fwip try to talk down a seething Krrsantan was the best.

... and you totally knew it was going to end that way.
Spoiler:
Good thing that Trandoshans can regrow limbs.

I'm loving the set up for these last three episodes.

I think it's pretty dumb decision given that it was always called Slave I. I'm actually curious what other stupid decisions are in the works at Disney Star Wars (cause you know they're coming).

I think I had the same issue with the Lightsaber crystals which were commonly referred to as Adegan (at least when I read the novels), but then they started calling them Kyber.

Also, Fennec was seriously fucked up. damn.

When was the first time they were called Kyber crystals? Wasn't it in Splinter of the Mind's Eye?

That was more than just a gut shot  I was hoping that we'd see Boba Fett actually witness Mando and Calican with the flares (like I predicted in last episode's thread).
And the flight capability of Slave I is interesting.

I would say this is one of the stronger episodes of the series. Such a different tone without Rodriguez directing this one, its hard to translate someone that did El Mariachi, Dusk Til Dawn to the last episode, I guess the spy kids influence overrides his earlier gritter work. :(

Really can't think of any complaints about this episode at all and it moved the story forward nicely as well. Nice to finally see him reclaim Slave I as well.

It's parody at this point "Disney renames ship no one outside of the fanbase knows the name of!" "Disney fears ship name affirms their position on Slavery!" And yes, more is coming... it really feels like they'd rather the OT go away entirely at this point.

So far episodes not directed by RR have been pretty good. I'm sure he'll do one more, but I have high hopes for these last three!

I know it probably won’t happen, but I’d lose my shit if he recruited some old bounty hunting pals/competitors. Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss & 4 Lom.

I think Bryce Dallas Howard and Dave Filoni are directing episodes. Not sure who else.

In the very last scene, you can hear a bit of The Mandalorian theme. I think that means Din Djarin will show up. That’s probably the episode Filoni directs.

Yes. The directors for the season are: Robert Rodriguez, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Steph Green, Kevin Tancharoen. Rodriguez directs 3 of the episodes. I think Filoni's episode is Chapter 6, since that is the one he co-wrote with Fav.

Gonna go out on a limb and say there’s a big cameo in that episode.

One of the stronger episodes and looking forward to the last 3. I don’t like Slave I new name but then again, as stated above, it’s only pertinent to us, Star Wars fans. I would have been happy if they just kept it as Boba Fett ship.

I’m also wondering as Toddarino if the “muscle” they are going to get is going to be a bunch of Bounty Hunters. I don’t mind seeing Mando show up but I’ll lose it if we get to see some of them again.

Whoever is in charge of the droid work on the show is killing it. So much personality. The scene in the kitchen, first with the two cook droids then the expressive little rat catcher, my favorite since the train conductor in episode 2. Glad we got to see he was re-activated in the current timeline.

The first part of this episode was dullsville until Boba annihilated the crew on the speedsters with his ship. I was like holy shit, that was overkill!

Wow, and the rack on Jennifer Beals was stupendous! So RR basically directed the first 3, so it's other folks for the remainder of the season, right?

No, he’s only directed two so far.

Why was Boba looking for his armor in the Sarlacc? Did he forget that he escaped while wearing it? Even if he didn't remember the Jawas stripping it off him why would he assume whoever took it would just throw it back into the pit?

He wasn't in his right mind as he escaped, so we'll have to chalk it up to that.

That's what I seem to remember (although to be fair, I haven't read that book since the late 1970's  )

I've been hoping for that too, but am not really holding my breath, it would be frigging awesome though.

I don't think Ming Na Wen and Jennifer Beals ever age.

Hard to believe they're both closing in on 60 years old. Wow.

i've been watching and it's alright. i mean most of the story is told as flashbacks. it great to see his history and what's going on now, but what's going on now and how he got there isn't too terribly exciting. imo. i think i am so much more hooked on The Mandalorian than this. I watch, but not with enthusiasm or wonderment like Mando, with almost every single ep. they were events. this is just a series set in SW universe and one that isn't all that interesting to me considering his cult/legendary status. this is really just ok and run of the mill.

FWIW, the flashbacks are likely done.

His bacta treatment is over so he won't be having anymore "bacta the future" flashback dreams. We're caught up to current/Mandalorian time so looks to me like full speed ahead in the present from here on out.

At 58, Ming Na is a month older than Jennifer... but Ralph Macchio is 2 years older than them both.
