Six-Feet Under - reboot?

Re: Six-Feet Under - reboot?
I mean, they already covered what happened to everyone years later during the last few minutes of the finale. I guess they could bring back everyone (?) Including Nate and Nathaniel. Who both could appear together from time to time as ghosts. If it had the same writers, I'd definitely give it a chance.

"HBO is reportedly developing a follow-up to Six Feet Under"
If it's a follow-up, then it's not a reboot.
If it happens, that could be the second Michael C. Hall series continuation.

The epilogue told the rest of the lifes of all remaining characters, so what's the point of a follow up?

I really see no point in this. It would totally ruin the finale if it’s supposed to be continuing on. I don’t think you could reboot it and have it be as well received either. Just let it be.

the article I read earlier said that Ball would not be involved and would not be writing any episodes. Hard pass for me. This series was nearly perfectly written and ended.

Per the head of HBO:

Also not in the cards are the rumored “Six Feet Under” revival, which Bloys said was never really in the works.

Re: Six-Feet Under - reboot?
This show is one of the least ripe for a remake. So I'm not surprised to hear it was never actually considered
It'd be like saying "We're rebooting Breaking Bad and The Sopranos." they told very specific stories about a very specific group of people. None of which are particular "jumping off points" for further stories.
