I felt like the episode was entertaining, but mostly predictable. Winter wrote it, so it did have some good elements to it.
Regarding the end of the episode:
I did feel like the conflict with Waltrip:
Overall, a good season. Glad that at least on this show, Sheridan hands off some of the writing and showrunning to Winter. I mean he works enough.

Behind the scenes on the finale. There are lots of spoilers, so watch the episode first.

Loved how Dwight just jumps into the middle of the gunfight to go directly at Waltrip.

This was a nice first season. If people like this, they should check out Lilyhammer. Similar vibes with a mob guy in a new town taking over local businesses, some police trouble, and collecting a fun crew.

That was definitely a season finale, not going to be 10 episodes as previously posted.
I loved Bodhi saying "I worked for 5 years for an internet startup" a clear reference to Martin Starr's role on Silicon Valley

Just when you think the show will be gift-wrapped with a bow, a swift kick to the nuts comes your way.
The final shootout reminded me of Last Blood, with some of the traps they used. It was a fun ass season.

Great season. Great way to wrap up. Great episode. Almost seemed like a series finally until…
But, this was one of the better, most fun streaming series’ in some time.

Thanks to everyone for the recommendations. I'm enjoying the show. I'm not a Stallone fan but he's great. I was going to say it was relaxing but it seems to be picking up. But Stallone is still relaxed, a great character.
Wildly off topic I worked for an oil company in Los Angeles years ago. A co-worker was thrilled to be transferred to Tulsa because he could buy a giant house for 1/10 of the cost in LA. He was back to LA within a year.

The whole Waltrip thing wrapped up too quickly and neatly. It was essentially paint by numbers. Pretty meh.
I assumed Waltrip has more money than that. 8mill is good money, but they made it sound like he was richer than that.
And of course Stacy had a notebook right there at the time she needed it in the hospital. And I laughed when she plugged the thumb drive into it and it automatically connected to the Swiss bank site and automatically logged into the account to show Stacy the amount of money.

Enjoyed this a lot. Really good first season. Haven't seen Lilyhammer but this kind of gave me Banshee (also a great show) vibes at times, with action, a cool supporting cast and being just plain fun.
I enjoyed Waltrip as the antagonist more than the NY guys.

Greatly enjoyed this season and I was actually glad at the tight 35-40 minute episodes rather than the bloated hour or more that seems to be the standard now. Stallone still kicks an amazing amount of ass for 76 years old.

When Dwight was giving his "General Speech" I though he was gonna have a heart attack.

I actually think the opposite. I think they could have slowed things down a bit and added some more. I also think they could have done more with the whole biker gang storyline. Not a whole lot happens for a few episodes and then everything happens within the span of an hour and things get wrapped up nicely. I enjoy the show but it sort of lacks depth.

I enjoyed the season very much, but the there was a hard cut, after Dwight's visit to New York. The tone got darker and a lot a happened in only a few episodes. The biker gang got from Baseball bats to a small army pretty quick. Also they should've focused on Andrea Savage as his love interest. The Dana Delany storyline was kind of obsolete.

Yeah but Andrea's thing with him was a mess from day 1. Dana's seems like a much healthier relationship...or as healthy as it can be when you hang with a violent criminal with a heart of gold...

The "betrayel" at the end just hadn't that big of an impact as it could have had, since the (messy) relationship wasn't developed far enough. Neither was the healthy relationship to Dana, so both fell kind of short. They should have introduced Delany in season two, perhaps as his lawyer. rather than the owner of a pony farm.

Is this an R-rated show with lots of F bombs and graphic violence and nudity ?
Or is like a watered down FX or AMC show for basic cable?

But more to the point, Tulsa King is more HBO in the early 2000s.

I rewatched this a second time recently and still don't fully understand what's going on with the flash drive. Can someone explain from the time Bodhi checks his hiding spot behind the door hinge after his shop is raided?

^^ I believe the flash drive is code and accounts he uses to hack crypto from other people's accounts... since, you know, he worked at a Silicon Valley start-up for 5 years
He's very, very rich.

Terence Winter steps down as showrunner. Reason: Looks like it's creative differences with Taylor Sheridan.
They are looking for a replacement.
