But don't you also feel a little bit of pride seeing Americans back out in the world back to being our annoying overly patriotic selves? I had a little tingle seeing all these idiots out in the world again reminding everyone that we're back and not even COVID can keep us down!
LOVE THIS SHOW! (Sorry, I'm a superfan)

Caught the 1st episode last night. Good to have this back even though this is a compromised season.
Too bad for the singing cops. But, they really had no clue what they were doing what that artwork and lost so much time.
The couple who couldn't find "Bobby" There's always one couple like that he doesn't think clearly about the clue and ends up wasting so much time.
I was surprised the 15:17 to Paris boys were cast in this and they did pretty well. They seem likeable enough. The flight attendants are cute, especially the one with the glasses and they seem to have some good travel knowledge. I hope they aren't eliminated or are one of the teams that bailed due to the long delay.

I was surprised the twins survived the second leg. But this show always throws curveballs.
Man I wanted to strangle Ray and Penn for overthinking that task. I was like you have the fucking clue.
I miss “normal” travel so much and it is jarring seeing it like it was 2 years ago.
Looks like the next episode is the “shutdown” episode as the promo teased. That’s going to be weird to watch.

Glad it is back. After the first episode, I am ready for the older internet couple to go. They are both annoying.

Hope the teams took the break time to learn to drive a stick.
Looks like the race will start back up with 7 teams. 5/9 surviving teams plus 2 eliminated.
The daughter's good karma finally came back around.

Glad to see Raquel & Cayla survive the leg and looks like they returned for part 2.
The father and daughter giving up on the barrels so fast was dumb. They were hammering the rings in the wrong direction.

I'm assuming that one of the non-returning teams is the Love Island couple - they HAVE to have broken up during the hiatus.
I've been following the Holderness couple for a few years now on social media. While they do put out some cringey stuff on occasion, they're actually pretty talented (mainly Penn) and create some good song parodies and videos. But I'm also in their wheelhouse - middle-aged father. So I'm rooting for them.
I hope that Akbar and Sheri used the hiatus to get into better shape. They were really struggling with the running in episode 1.

I was glad they got the complete 3rd leg in before they suspended filming. Arun got frustrated way too easily on the barrel task and then the dance.
Spoiler: This article mentions who appears to have not returned after the hiatus. It's understandable that some could not make the commitment to take XX weeks off from work and other commitments to do this. Phil did say in the tease that someone is back to fill a void. I mean who else could it be? Only Mike and Moe and Arun and Natalie have officially been eliminated.

Actually Natalie was the one who wanted to switch tasks after a few attempts. She also wanted to switch from the dart task in the first episode but the father wanted to continue which is almost always the right decision. If it wasnt for the lenient judge, they would probably still be singing wheres your troooooosers.

Ive driven a stick for years, but when I was vacationing in the UK back in 2018, shifting left-handed while sitting in the rightside seat and driving on the left side of the road made my head explode.

I haven't driven a stick since 2011. I'm sure I could again if needed though I'm sure I'd conk out a few times at the start. But driving a left-handed stick would be very weird to me. Are the pedals the same orientation on a right-hand drive (use right foot for gas/brake and left for clutch)?

Funny enough one of the things I look forward to most when going to Europe is driving a stick again. The left hand shifting doesn't bother me that much since I drive stick so infrequently any more I'm not really in the habit of one over the other.

Lol, what a comeback.
Raquel and Cayla still in it! Nice race to the mat to steal 3rd (?)
Disappointed a couple teams couldnt make it back.
Cool roadblock up in the mountains.

I know it is for 1 million dollars but I am genuinely concerned that Akbar and Sheri might not make it and will need to be medically evacuated in one of these legs.

That was a fun restart to the leg. Shame the race lost those 4 teams. I liked Team 15:17 to Paris. But, obviously not everyone can just take 1 month off.
I'm glad the flight attendants came back, but go figure their profession was absolutely crippled by COVID.
at Michael and Moe. Get another shot and out again. I don't get how they could have mistaken making that story belt backwards.
Yeah I agree about Akbar and Sheri. They are probably the team in the worst physical shape of the entire 33 seasons of this show. And I'm sure sitting at home in quarantine during the pandemic didn't help.

What was the point of the “first come first served” busses at the start if there was no staggered start and they all arrived at the same time.

I assume the 2 max left as soon as two teams were on then 3 max then 4 max. But like taxis and local drivers, bus drivers can drive faster ot slower. Which would kill any lead time and have the busses arrive close to the same time at once.
