I'm terrified of how they will reference June 2020 - peak cluster F of 2020

Looking forward to it.
Did they have an end date in mind for the series, or are they playing it by ear?
Longest running non-animated sitcom season-wise. The amazing thing is with the exception of a few episodes here and there, the quality is still top notch.
Can't believe the Simpsons is still on. The show started in my second year of college... and I'm 52 now.

I love this show and very happy it's coming back. But bummed to see it's only an 8 episode season, and they are burning through 2 episodes a week. So season 15 will only last 4 weeks. Happy to still be getting new episodes, but definitely a let down since they took a year off. Here are the episode titles for the season:
1. "2020: A Year In Review"
2. "The Gang Makes Lethal Weapon 7"
3. "The Gang Buys a Roller Rink"
4. "The Gang Replaces Dee With a Monkey"
5. "The Gang Goes to Ireland"
6. "The Gang's Still in Ireland"
7. "Dee Sings in a Bog"
8. "The Gang Carries a Corpse Up a Mountain"

4. "The Gang Replaces Dee With a Monkey"

The gang Forrest Gump-ing their way through 2020 was funny.
Lethal Weapon 7, not so much.

The first episode was kind of clever.
The second episode was very disappointing because you expect more from a Lethal Weapon episode. I get what they were going for, but the execution wasn't right.
Plus this really goes against the stance they made when they were part of the Thundergun focus group just the previous season.

Holy shit. How they weaved all 3 stories together to the 2020 election stuff was brilliant.

That was the best start of a season in awhile. The weaving of the 2020 stuff. The Kanye swerve. Frank's hair dye. Varmints and Garments. Just great stuff.
I also like the second episode a lot. A call back to 12 season ago to a pimp character that spoke only two lines in the show's history... that's the shit I love about this show. The random callbacks and bringing out bit characters from 12 years ago to advance a story today lol. Love it. Especially the look of fear Dennis had when he heard the name Pepprr Jack. Just the best man haha.
Only 3 weeks left in the season tho. Bummer.

I actually didn't care for the premiere episode. The singing really took me out of it. I thought they would have incorporated the 2020 riots into the story, maybe riots in the streets of Philly near their bar.
I enjoyed Lethal Weapon 7 much more.

I thought the first episode was great, especially the very end when they showed Dennis and Mac outside the capital riot playing their country music. I knew something was up when they kept referencing "our guy", but for some reason did not make the connection to Kanye even though it's a perfect fit.

Two really solid episodes last night.
Charlie pulling the gun handle out of Mac’s waistband was great.
And the monkey they got to replace Dee was awesome. He sexually assaulted everyone, shit on the bar, and then robbed them.

The problem with the first episode is that it re-writes history for the characters.
Dennis was a dick and a narcissist in high school. We know that from the past stories and the high school reunion episode And then they make him a nice, sweet innocent guy after high school.
Dee was much nicer in high school either.

The beer monkey explains the 8 episode season. Needed to spend two episodes worth of budget on that epic cgi lol.
I don't think you're supposed to take the retelling all that serious. It doesn't re-write the character history because they are unreliable narrators and you shouldn't believe their faulty memories. Maybe Dennis felt inside he was this sweet innocent guy that was corrupted by watching his dad bang a hooker, while in reality he was already a dick long before that. That's the thing about these characters. They're the worst. They're lying about having cancer and doing all these wild schemes. Don't get hung up on them retelling history as if it actually happened that way.
I've liked all four episodes so far. The B story in episode 4 of the Dee acting classes was a big miss for me. But the beer monkey more than made up for it lol.

I liked Dooley being at the roller rink. He was brought up in Season 2 or 3 when the gang got a mansion and wanted to invite people to hang out with but never shown because he had died.
Also a nice nod to early it’s always sunny having charlie be distracted by a sandwich when asking to talk about shares. He supposedly sold shares for a sandwich at one point.

I didn’t think much of either of them.
Props to them though for getting the studio to pay for them to go on vacation to Ireland. Especially when the episodes didn’t even really look like they actually needed to go there.
