Yeah, for a What If…? story, it was pretty safe compared to the comics, but I’m interested enough to watch more.

I liked it enough to keep watching the rest. The animation is great - the story for this first one was a bit in the boring side, but overall I liked it.
It was a bit weird that the decision they focused on as being the cause of the timeline branch, didn't mesh with the first Captain America movie. When I was watching it, I swore that the attack/bomb didn't happen until after Steve was transformed. I watched that part again after watching this episode, and sure enough, I was right. All of the people (not just Peggy) were in the observation booth until after the experiment. So not sure how her one decision to stay down would have changed that whole course.... A nitpick, for sure, but if you're going to tie it to an MCU multiverse, I thought they would have a bit more attention to detail.

I thought Episode 2 was vastly more fun and interesting than the first.

It was.
it had humor and tension. Changed everything enough to be really fun and interesting.
Loved the surprise cameo.
I suggest hitting the skip credits when it pops up so the cast surprises are spoiled.

Loved the first episode and this one was even better! Also kind of addresses my biggest issue with Infinity War

OMG that was like 1000 times better than the first episode. I was bored to tears with Captain Carter, but this was amazing. I loved it.

I was one of the people bored by the first one, but agree that this was one was much, much better.

Episode 2 is exactly what What if stories are in the comic books. One little change sparks a lot of reactions and consequences that no one expects. Writers had no restrictions because nothing was canon. Episode 2 with T’Challa as Starlord was perfect in that regard. All the surprises and cameos were great and it wasn’t just a switcharoo of characters. Also, the tribute to Boseman at the end made me tear up. I still can’t believe he’s gone. His role as Black Panther is one of the most important ones in history and the fact that he was taken from us too young is just fucking heartbreaking

Fuck that was awesome.
I’m so glad I avoided the credits like whotony suggested. I said holy shit to my cat at the last surprise.

Pretty good episode. I liked it more than the first one since it was an original story set in an alternate Guardians universe instead of a rehash of the first movie.
One thing though- I thought Chadwick’s voice sounded off for some reason. Maybe he was just playing it differently since he was T’Challa as Star-Lord though instead of Black Panther.

I’m not saying that him being sick couldn’t have been the reason, but he didn’t sound ill to me necessarily. More a difference in his accent or something.

I wasn’t paying attention during the opening credits and at the end was wondering who they had gotten for the Chadwick sound-alike. I don’t seek out production rumors and stories and didn’t realize he had left this in the can.

I mean is there a need for the snarky reply? No one seemed to know that at the time. I would think if he had a noticeable change in his voice that some people would have wondered what was up.

No one knew at the time but we know now and we knew these appearances are his last performances so it’s pretty obvious to Some people.
Decker as I do too probably thinks that it’s odd to wonder why he sounds and seems different in these performances on this show.

Look it’s obvious he was dying, and I knew that when I wrote my original post. I didn’t think I necessarily had to clarify that, and again I didn’t think he sounded sickly.
I was simply commenting that I thought he sounded off. I should have said different instead of off. As in he sounded like he was playing the part different. Just commenting on that. I don’t need smart ass comments like I had no idea he was sick. I’m not denying him being sick couldn’t have been a factor either.

And expanding on that, this is how he looked in 2016
And this is how he looked in 2019
Even if he weren't physically drained and on his deathbed, one shouldn't expect the timbre of his voice to be the same.

I don’t think he sounded all that off and if I did when I watched it I would have assumed it was because of his health.
On the other hand, I couldn’t believe that was Benicio Del Toro. It didn’t sound like his previous portrayals of the Collector at all.
