The shoot out in the diner was just reckless, but Hugh Dillon needed a way out, so he could start his own reckless shoot out in a pizza place in another show.

Good ep that grinded to a fucking halt with Jimmy and zig zag horses.
And speaking of him and girl couldn't, I don't know, exchange numbers? Acting like a breakup from 500 years ago.
I'm now in the Beth will betray the family camp.

As always the morality in this show is baffling. So Dutton "saved" 12 lives because obviously the robbers are going to kill 12 people after robbing them? WTF
I did enjoy John just completely unloading on Beth and essentially annihilating her values her worth as a person and her value as part of their family. Will be interesting to see her reaction. Is there a Beth turns rumor out there. If so it is set up.
Not so sure I would go freeze to death and get stoned for 4 days and 4 nights because I saw a wolf but whatever.
Jimmy storyline sucks.
Time is very vague on this show. Seems like a few weeks at most have passed on the Ranch but like 6 months at the 6666 ranch and then the whole recovery timeline in the first episode.

I love watching horses run and stop really fast. LOL Some of the 'tricks" I just do not get.

Yeah, it's time to cut Jimmy off the main show and push him into the 6666 series that I can easily ignore.

It's funny, because I want more of Jimmy's storyline and less Beth. I'm starting to think Beth will be diagnosed with CTE from those injuries she suffered.

The guy who plays Travis Wheatley is actually the show's creator, writer, producer and director Taylor Sheridan.... and well he actually owns the 6666 Ranch in Texas in real life as of earlier this year in fact. So spending so much time on the horse scenes this season is just like a big advertisement for his ranch.
Explains why it's suddenly been brought into the show on a much bigger scale too.
The Four Sixes Ranch was listed on the market for a total of $347.7 million. No idea what he actually paid though.

Was Jamie’s mom a Dutton?
or just someone from John’s past like an ex-girlfriend?

The finale was pretty anticlimactic. The Beth storyline was OK for me, but the resolution was quite unspectacular. No interaction between Costner and Patton was a let down. The wolf storyline was a waste of time.
I liked the season for the most part, but it was my least favorite one.

I didn't know the actress playing Teeter is Michael Landon's daughter and the actress playing Mia is Josh Brolin's daughter.

I was fine with the finale - I think it was a good move not to give us another big cliffhanger. That said, the biggest issue with Yellowstone over the past several seasons is setting up "bad guys" that go nowhere/change nothing. We had Will Patton this year, Josh Holloway last year, and Neal McDonough the year before that. I'm guessing Jackie Weaver is coming back next season, but I don't find her character all that interesting. I wish Gil Birmingham had been given more to do in Season 4 - he used to be one of the main characters, now he just pops in and out from time to time.

The finale wasn't terrible but it felt long. Not sure if this is how I'm supposed to take Casey's visionquest, but until I am told otherwise Casey in his delusions thought the wolf was a girl and slept with the animal. Otherwise it was mostly a waste of time.
So will they bring the environmental activist back next season? Will John still be running for office?

I thought it was a decent end to the season, it was an hour and a half episode which was a little long for the storyline. I didn't care for the vision quest storyline much as Casey is becoming less and less interesting as a character. At least Tater did not get on my nerves too badly this season. I'm glad they dialed Beth back a bit for the last episode she was less a cartoon but still a bit over the top with the priest plotline.
My guess is for next season Costner gets the governor gig and grants his GF clemency. yawn. I can not stand Beths boss's voice and noticed she used a semi-normal voice for most of her scenes toward the end of the show which would be a welcome change if she comes back as the big baddy next season which is also my guess given her threats against the Duttons.
