Mobius puts Loki to work, but not everyone at TVA is thrilled about the God of Mischief's presence.

Didn't see that coming!

Birth of the multiverse right there?

Now that’s cool…
Spoiler:
The Enchantress makes her appearance.

… and the TVA is in real trouble.

It's amazing to me that "Holding Out for a Hero" has been featured prominently three times in two weeks (this episode, the He-man Netflix trailer, the GotG game trailer). Bonnie Tyler making some dough.

This series has some really good writing and so far a well thought out story. In terms of the variant, I was hoping
Spoiler:
we would get Eva Green as the female Loki. I remember reading comics with Enchantress and don't remember her being related to Loki. I'm also wondering if this series may introduce Beta Ray Bill proper.

If not this, hopefully Love & Thunder. I want him introduced so bad.

This is just not grabbing me. The whole TVA seems and these time soldiers look like their costumes were from 1980 Flash Gordon.

I'm enjoying The Adventures of Detective Loki

Where were the 53 minute episodes for WandaVision.

Wandavision had a 49 minute episode, and 9 episodes total, while Loki will only have 6 episodes. So it'll be about the same total runtime for both.

I'm liking this more than Falcon/Winter Soldier so far. Loki is just a more interesting character than the other two. Owen Wilson is a nice addition too

Re: Loki (S1E02) -- "The Variant" -- 6/16/21

This is a fun show and easier to get into than Wanda was due to the odd setup of that show. Wish this was going to be more than 6 episodes. Seems there are multiple layers to the show as well so a casual Marvel fan like me is not mystified and bigger fans are getting lots of nice easter eggs so this will bear a rewatch for a lot of people.

As I was watching last night I thought to myself man this show is tearing along. Didn't know it was only 6 episodes, that explains it. Loved the second episode more than I did the first and really enjoyed the first. This looks to be a good setup for the multiverse.

The beauty of this show is that nothing is as it seems with Loki. He's like the Joker... he is a liar so his motives may never seem real.

I don’t get anything that’s going on? How r we supposed to know? What were those purple cloudy things time traveling to? Who was the woman with the $2.99 Halloween tiara? How are you guys understanding what’s going on? Wandavision was much more comprehensible than what’s going on here. I have no idea wtf. And I’ve never felt that way with any Marvel whatever until now.

I don't understand what you don't get? The reset charges were stolen by Lady Loki and she sent them to a bunch of places in the MCU to change the timelines.

I liked the hat tip to Seven in the library. The only "problem" I've had so far is that I can't think of Eugene Cordero as anyone other than Pillboi

where the hell you get all that? They weren’t shown or in the 2 eps I saw. I just saw a whole mess of a story and makes me rethink the whole timeline I just saw. Me no likey diminish old school Marvel.

I'm really liking Owen Wilson in this. I haven't watched much of his work over the last decade or so, but in the right role, he's very charming.

So did the Time Keepers actually create the TVA workers "from scratch" so to speak? They're not people that were brought in from elsewhere?

All on screen near the end of the last episode. Not necessary to appreciate episode 2, but a hint to what's to come perhaps?

Yeah, I didn't get what those "reset charges" were supposed to be either. When were those introduced? Guess I need to learn to pay attention better. The show is so long and drawn out. They could have easily made this 22 minutes if they got rid of all the useless talking.

They were introduced in 1985 Oshkosh when they blew that timeline to smitherines.

So they fix the timeline? That should be a good thing then, right?
