Those Madripoor scenes looked awesome.
Sharon's fights were cool. Good to see Van Camp doing a lot of her stunt work.
That ending was an interesting surprise... though they foreshadowed.

Yeah, Carter was the best part of the episode, being a badass during that storage bin scene. But I feel like I should enjoy this more than I am.

Madripor was a spectacle - the skyline, the dark streets, the neon nightlife, Smiling Tiger's "usual" drink - ... but the shipping port with the containers was straight out of any Weeknight Crime Drama and the "secret lab" was pure "camp."
I understand why the episode did what it did to advance the story, but it felt... normal. Is that the right word?

Is Madripoor the first appearance of something X-related in the MCU since the acquisition of Fox?
Since Madripoor first appeared in the New Mutants title in the 1980s, and was featured heavily in the 1988 Wolverine series, I wouldn't be surprised if it was tied to X-Men rights and Fox.

The thing about this episode is that it felt like TV and not like Cinema.

The big X on the embassy or whatever struck me as interesting.
Madripoor is a southeast Asian country. Were there any Asian people there?

First ep that disappointed me.
Reminded me of bad Bond movie plotting.
The whole ep was full of action movie cliches.
I was also looking forward to finally seeing Sharon again- but they made her into a deus ex machina device.
On the run and off the grid, yet she's able to build a million (billion?) dollar criminal enterprise in an exotic, cutthroat foreign enclave on the other side of the world.
Yeah, sure Jan.

As we get more into the story, I find myself getting more interested. I really liked this episode. Sharon was a great addition. I liked seeing further cracks in the Walker facade. Zemo adds a lot more complications, too. I feel like the show is starting to hit its groove.

I thought it started off interesting, showing facets of the characters I wasn't expecting or hadn't thought about, and then has progressively gotten more Bond-movie rote.

Nice to have Sharon Carter back and I thought she was the best part of the episode. I thought she was pretty badass in her fight scenes. Some good action choreography in that sequence.
The Ayo cameo at the end was interesting.

They missed a great opportunity with the episode title.
Instead of "The Power Broker", episode 3 should have been called "Finding Zemo.".

This was disappointing. It felt like an episode of Alias. From the bad seasons.
Making Karli a full-blown murdering terrorist was cheap, contrived, lazy, and disappointing. They went down the easy path with her. Instead of a complex character doing the wrong things but for the right reasons, they just turned her into yet another generic, cookie-cutter freedom fighter turned mass murderer. Now she has to die, or the heroes will "fail".
I'll watch to see how this plays out but this is nowhere near essential watching.

I'm still enjoying the show, but any talk of this being equivalent to a 4-5hr feature film - no way.

Loved it. It’s really like getting a mini-Marvel story each week with characters I already like. Loved Sharon’s return and like Zemo joining the team.

Pretty sure the whole creative team was forced to watch all kinds of spy films, the name is such an obvious play on Falcon and the Snowman and I totally dig it.
In line with that, I have a feeling they’ve taken another spy film and used its twist and Sharon “never left” the CIA, she’s also trying to find out about the serum since they were working on it.
That spy film is

I do agree that it doesn't feel as cinematic. That's something I've said past episodes, too, but I'm enjoying the characters and building on the history. We'll see where the story ultimately goes, but I guess I had already given up expecting Marvel movie.

Especially as they lazily tee’d it up with the talk of her going back to a normal life (teacher).
As fo being like a Bond film, well yea. But there is a right way and a wrong way. When dark, gritty and brutle (good Daniel Craig) I like it. When it gats a bit over the top campy and cheesy (bad Pierce Brosnan) I’m not as invested.

So...is Sharon Carter the Power Broker? I got that vibe at then end of the shipping container sequence when she gets in a car and tells an unknown person that they have a big problem. It would be interesting if she has turned bad.
