It's very difficult to search for this series on this or any other site. Anyway I'm adjusting to it not being the lighthearted 60s series. I had a teenage heartthrob for Carolyn Jones and CZJ isn't filling that but Jenna Ortega is terrific. I haven't liked a lot of Tim Burton movies but so far I'm enjoying this.

I binged all of this over the weekend and was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I'm a longtime Burton fan, but I haven't really loved his last several projects. This seems to strike just the right tone, though, and Ortega nails the role of Wednesday. I'm glad to see that it's been so popular for Netflix so a renewal seems like a no-brainer.

I finished this last night.
Overall I enjoyed it. Enough subtle nods to the original series but very much its own thing taking the character farther.
It's cool that Gomez is modeled more after the strip Gomez than TV/movie versions.
Maybe I'm looking too deep into it, but my only question plot wise is
And about the dance - as cool, unique, and Wednesday-specific as it was, I'm still only 50/50 that she would dance at all, especially as attention-getting as she did, given how restrained she historically has been.
Anyway, I'm definitely in for season 2. And that is a great announcement.

I finished this series today and really enjoyed it. It was so well cast. Jenna Ortega was amazing but all the kids were good. I liked Emma Meyers and I haven't noticed Jamie McShane before but they were great. I like Christina Ricci, Gwendoline Christie, and Riki Lindhome so it was nice to see them. Looking forward to season 2.
