The body count on this show is kind of nuts. It's wild how many they started with on their journey and where they are now. Just shows the reality of how brutal it was back then. Loved Josef's wife just breaking down... "WHAT IS THIS PLACE??!"

These 5 episodes have been better than anything the main show has ever done.

Just finished watching new episode and it was awesome. It's on break now and will return January 30. I'm not digging that alternate schedule. This will be the second time they've done that and we're barely on episode 5.

Yeah Paramount is doing these split seasons now for a few shows. They need to keep people subbed. That should tell you everything about how they are doing with regard to subscriber numbers.

ViacomCBS combines their streaming subscriber counts, Paramount+, Showtime, and BET+ combined have gone from 10.4m in Q3 2019 to 47m in Q3 2021.

Makes you wonder how many are those 3 month Showtime trials.

I really like that brunette that likes Thomas. I looked her up and looks like she's the now ex-Mrs. Tim Robbins. She filed for divorce.

Wow, as if the show couldn't get even more badass, well, it got more badass today. I guess folks lost interest due to the break. It premieres early on Sundays now. I watched it about 2 hrs ago PST.

I'm a few weeks behind, but I just finished episode 4 "The Crossing" and that was a haunting episode. The piano solo by Elsa at the end along with her narration and the near drowning sequence with Margaret. Margaret tries to save the woman who fell from the wagon, but the woman nearly kills her, so she has to push her away and then Margaret gets out of the water and pounds the ground in frustration.

So well done.

Episode 5. Wow that was a gut wrenching episode. Isabel May was so good in it. When her "boyfriend" gets killed and the raw emotion she showed. It was a really well directed episode. Felt like a movie western.

It's an excellent show but is becoming really repetitive. She starts with some monologue on how awesome horses or cows or the plains are, then everyone except the Duttons and the two cowboys act completely incompetent and die or almost die, Sam Elliot gets all pissed off and EMO, and then someone gets shot. In between Elsa flirts with someone.

It is exceedingly well written them and quite compelling in its own way
