We going to do weekly threads or one big thread? Assume weekly since it is weekly show.

Good news we get 2 episodes for premiere: https://www.theverge.com/2021/1/8/22...an-disney-plus

And your point? There are plenty of threads about TV shows that haven't started yet. I was simply starting it to point out to people that they announced 2 episodes will air.

9 episode season FYI

Weekly is fine with me. I'm sure we'll do the same with Falcon and the Winter Soldier in March.

Weekly threads make sense since it’s a weekly show. Garners a lot more discussion too.

I'm excited. I'm kinda hoping it's not Pleasantville for too long. But I'll take what they give me.

These shows do not look second tier like Agents of Shield or the Netflix shows. They look like extended MCU films.

Because those previous shows were Marvel Television productions, not Marvel Studios like these are.

You do understand most of the episodes will be homages to different decades of television. The ‘50s to the ‘90s.

Each episode will be dedicated to that decade. So while we get glimpses of “reality,” expect black & white and bright colors.

I wasn’t particularly excited about this show at first, but the trailers have made it look pretty interesting to me.

Too on the nose if they riff on Full House?

Jimmy Kimmel actually had Elizabeth Olsen on his show last week and made some joke and showed her sisters. It was pretty funny.

I have to admit to being fairly underwhelmed. The sitcom schtick got very old very fast for me, and while Olsen and Bettany are quite game, this doesn’t “feel” much like the same characters at all. I hope the actual plot picks up speed as this just felt like a lot of wheel spinning to drag the Dick Van Dyke/Bewitched homage out over two episodes. Hope it improves.

I thought they were really well done. I'm sure there are some of you who won't jive with this kind of storytelling and may not love this. But for me it was creative and different. Elizabeth Olsen really shined in this I thought. She really chewed up the material and looked really radiant. I also really liked the nods to the Dick Van Dyke Show and Bewitched.

I'm interested in seeing where mystery goes as well as they left various clues. The toaster commercial that was manufactured by Stark Industries and then the watch commercial with Hydra. We don't know where Wanda is or who is actually pulling the strings here. And then the red helicopter. And then that ending with the mysterious beekeeper. And someone is watching Wanda's sitcoms. The characters within the sitcoms had moments like they had no idea what the hell was going on.

The magic show in episode 2 was hilarious with Vision being drunk because a piece of gum was stuck in his system.

I watched a spoiler review on the 1st 2 episodes afterwards and they alluded a lot, I mean a lot of easter egg comic references that probably for the average person wouldn't pick up on. Like it was alluded that SWORD could be involved.

Not everyone is going love this, but this is something I think you will need to be patient on. There's still 7 more to go. Who knows maybe we won't see Wanda and Vision out of this world until episode 8 and 9?

It was interesting. I’ve read that Episode 3 pulls back the curtain a little more to reveal what may be going on. But each episode will give a little more over time.

The Strucker watch, I imagine, is reference to when we first met Wanda and Pietro, they were imprisoned by von Strucker.

The black actress in Episode 2 is supposed to be (outside of the sitcom world) the daughter Maria Rambeau, Monica, who we saw as a little girl in Captain Marvel.

That magic show outfit

I think this show will start introducing X-Men into the MCU.

I like it. I'll take pretty much anything from the MCU.

I kept waiting for more of the mystery to unfold. That's what was on my mind pretty much the whole 50 minutes.

I'll also identify more with the 80's and 90's episodes.

This really should have been released all at once instead of 1 or 2 episodes a week. It's too slow of a burn to get people involved in what's going on.

Haven’t had a chance to watch it yet. I’ve heard that the show isn’t exactly what some fans may have in mind, but that by the third episode things start to come together more.
