Its out. Judging from social media reaction , this is garbage.
I didnt see any critic reviews before just now. So HBO knew it had a stinker and didnt let critics see it ahead of time.

The reviews seem to generally state it's weird but better than the movies.

OK, this is weird. In the first episode when they're listening to Todd Rundgren, the lyrics appeared in subtitles in Portuguese (I think) even though I didn't have any subtitle settings turned on. Did this happen to anyone else? A strange creative choice...

Apparently, he shot the first 3 episodes and then had to be written out.
I just got done watching the two episodes available. I thought the opening scene and a lot of the first episode was pretty cringy... but then when you start to see that the show is really going to be about
it became more interesting to me. If that stays the focus and not all the dumb woke crap they are force-feeding you then it could be OK. I don't mind if it isn't the next season of SATC. You couldn't really do that in 2021.

My thoughts on the first two episodes. The pacing felt really off during the first one, but picked up nicely on the second. They addressed Samantha's absence right away. And it kind of felt snarky, but then there was a really nice nod to her on episode #2. I honestly didn't miss Cattrall much. The remaining three ladies along with the supporting characters carried the show nicely. I know the original series had a few serious storylines here and there, but i didn't expect this reboot to start off so heavy. Overall, I really enjoyed it. And laughed a few times. Especially on the second episode.

I may be going out on a limb here, but I think Miranda is going to have a drinking problem. They were very subtle about it

I did not realize this was a series and not a made for tv movie. I tolerated the series for my wife years back but I don't know if I can watch this again especially if its as bad as it sounds. Might give an episode a try but...

Episode 1 was awful. And they really had to tell the viewers over and over how old everyone is. We know

What is that like Ryan Reynolds 30th company?
Apparently Noth has some allegations against him that came out today, so it may be time for damage control for the damage control.

Reynolds also did damage control for the Peloton Wife (quick Google will show you the ads).

Yeah, that character has way too much air time. I really liked episode #3, especially that scene between Carrie Natasha. But that comedy show felt like an eternity. And not funny at all. Had I been watching that on Netflix, I would have turned it off after 5 minutes. Guessing Miranda is switching teams.

I liked the first couple of episodes but this third one, minus the plot with Big's ex wife Natasha, was just horrendous. Now Charlotte's little daughter is about to come out as trans whatever and Miranda is also about to come out as trans / lesbian / who knows all in the same episode. Most every show now has characters that are trans. The Roseannae reboot has one main character, Darlene's son, and one recurring, Darlene's boss. The Saved by the Bell reboot also has a trans character.
I know trans people exist in real life but make up something like less than 1% of the population. It's especially weird when it involves kids. One of the more recent Conners episodes had Darlene's gay son (who was trans in the beginning of the series, not so much anymore) on the couch with another gay boy talking about "going upstairs to make out". I'll probably get blasted for this for not being "woke", but it's too much.

That ~5.6% breaks down to 3.1% as bisexual, 1.4% as gay, 0.7% as lesbian, and 0.6% as transgender.
