Yes, rabidly.

Red Letter Media did a pretty savage review of this that I enjoyed despite liking the show for what it is. Glad to hear it’s being renewed.

I've read it's very much a case where they should have thrown out the first couple pancakes.

The 4th episode had a good performance by Larroquette.

4th was best so far. Hopefully, everyone's getting into their groove.

Pete Holmes was on the last episode.

Maybe he will become a regular?

Joanna Kerns AKA Maggie Seaver directed the marathon episode.

I have been trying to watch this, and it just...is boring. It's not straight up awful, but the writing is pedestrian, the jokes aren't clever, and while I liked Rauch as a supporting character on BBT, she's just not interesting here.

A scene from the original show has been popping around social media, the "sukiyaki slam bam" joke, (it's about 1:45 into this clip) and it just shows you how empty the reboot is.

I've bailed on this midway through the 5th episode I think. It's just not that funny and isn't all that interesting.

I checked it out for the nostalgia factor, but that rested solely on Dan's presence and I guess the courtroom itself - but that fades away pretty quickly and we aren't left we much after that.

I hate watch this one. It's so poorly written and acted.

Rauch deserved better as did John.

Re: Night Court (NBC) -- S: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette -- Premieres 1/17/23

I was bored and watched the first couple of episodes. Actually watched it with my wife, two teens and parents. Not a laugh from any of the six of us over the course of two episodes. It's completely unwatchable. Calling it a turd is being kind. How did it even get greenlit?

Even worse is the laugh track (do they even do studio audiences anymore?). I've never been of the "audience/laugh track telling me when to laugh" mindset, but that's exactly what's going on here because there aren't any jokes to be found.

I gave up after two episodes so I was wondering if the bump meant it had gotten better. Sounds like maybe, but I’ll still pass.

This. If you still have to give viewers a cue as to when they need to laugh in this day and age, your show is probably falling flat.

I remember watching that episode as a kid… and when he dropped dead, we laughed.

Yeah, I'm out on this one. Should have been out after the pilot, but I gave it a few more episodes. It did not get any better.

Re: Night Court (NBC) -- S: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette -- Premieres 1/17/23

Last night we were catching up on some shows and when I said to my wife there's a bunch of the new Night Court episodes she told me to just delete the whole series and I did. That's coming from 2 folks who were big fans of the original. This show is a horrible mess.. I don't even think a Brent Spiner re-appearance could help it (nor could they probably afford him) anymore.

Its a shame, really. I like Larroquette, Rauch, and the dude that was in Zoeys Extraordinary Playlist, just not in this.. The new Roz is a pale imitation, and the entire cast just doesn't gel the way the original cast did.

I’m still watching and enjoying it for what it is but wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone.

So then you hated the laugh track on the original series?

Mark Sweet does a good job as the warmup guy and really gets the audience going. He did Big Bang theory as well. He gets people laughing right up to "action" so you're sort of in a punchy mood where even things that aren't very funny are funny. And no there's no sign that flashes "laugh"

I can just about tolerate the new bailiff, but the prosecutor (India de Beaufort as Olivia) is such a poor character, I've basically dropped it because of her.

The writers' strike may be a blessing if the show gets a new team afterwards,
