I enjoyed the episode, once again, nothing particularly special about this episode, rather that I continue to enjoy this iteration of Fantasy Island and just let it be a pleasant distraction for about 45 minutes of my evening.

Tara and Jessica get revenge on their HS tormentors by flying the whole class to a tropical island resort for a vacation?

The cat lady from Fringe does not reveal her fantasy to Roarke until she has arrived on the island?

Keep in mind that the "Island" created the situation where they paid for all their classmates to attend the reunion. I like the addition of Javi's newfound daughter to the core cast. I suspect this may be it for this show after this season, but I still find it to be a super easy breezy watch.

This was intended to be a Summer filler show but was pushed when 9-1-1/The Resident were not renewed before upfronts in May (they were...like literally minutes before but they had to put out a schedule). It's apparently pretty cheap to film, so a Season 3 could very well be likely. Its a small main cast and a rotating guest.

I really enjoyed the latest episode. Interesting that when Elena first took over the duties of being the host of Fantasy Island that she went into business with her first client. Also, I think Ruby's latest object of affection/lust is either an Island construct or a mermaid/siren that can stay out of water for a period of time without reverting back to mermaid form.

This weeks episode was a monkey's paw (directed by Eduardo Sanchez (Blair Witch Project)). I sort of wish they'd do more of those.

Rich, between the siblings being forced to get along (or perish in lava) before they could spread their Mother's ashes, and this week the Mom's fantasy causing her to have to enter a dark world to rescue and re-connect with her family, yeah...pretty dark/heavy stuff. I do like it though and have been enjoying this season.

I like that the Island is forcing folks to work together and put more effort towards having their fantasies fulfilled.

ETA: Also, that scene with the mom picking up the tennis racket and seeing the handle covered in blood, only to start her down a path of realizing something is very, very wrong with her fantasy, that was dark as heck.

Latest episode was weird. Super heavy handed, Sanchez looked like she was about to rip somebody's head off and the whole ruby/isla thing.

I kinda want to take a weekend trip to Puerto Rico and kick it on the beaches.

The latest episode moves the needle on the Ruby / Isla thing. Also, I came to this conclusion long before now, but asking for the Island to fulfill your fantasy can set you down a path where you are forced to make changes to your life, and the Island can spin up some pretty intense moments for the guests to resolve before they can make progress on their journey.

I always hope that when we get to the scene where the guests are getting ready to board the plane/ship to leave the island, that we are not seeing that they actually had a day or two to actually relax and enjoy their time on the island. Otherwise, they finally get a clue and the island stops putting them through their paces and the next moment they are being ushered off the island, lol.

The last episode absolutely works as a series finale. I would have been down to watch a third season next summer, but I am still happy with what we received.

It was a satisfying finale for sure and 100% a series finale.
