I’d love for Ahsoka to meet up with Barriss Offee again.

Indeedy. Too bad, this character's story arch is great and should have seen an end on film/tv or animated.

Banging Obi-Wan has its perks...
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv...ka-1235078843/
Mary Elizabeth Winstead is punching her career into hyperspace.
The actress has joined the budding cast of Ahsoka, the next Star Wars live-action series gearing up to go into production at Lucasfilm and Disney+.
Rosario Dawson is starring as the fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi Knight survivor popular on the animation side of Star Wars who made her live-action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian.
Hayden Christensen is reprising the role of Anakin Skywalker for the series, which is set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, with Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno and Australian thespian Natasha Liu Bordizzo also slated to be on the call sheet.
Plot details and Winstead’s character information are being kept hidden in a bunker on 10 Cloverfield Lane.
Star Wars series steward Dave Filoni is writing the series and exec producing with Jon Favreau. Production begins this spring in California.

Ray Stevenson is going from sailing the oceans to sailing the spaceways.
The actor, who last appeared on History Channel’s Vikings, has joined Ahsoka, the next Star Wars live-action series gearing up to go into production at Lucasfilm and Disney+.
The series centers on fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi Knight survivor popular on the animation side of Star Wars who made her live-action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian and appeared in an episode of The Book of Boba Fett.
Plot details are being kept secret, but the setup has consisted of Tano journeying from one end of the galaxy to another in search of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a former commander in the Empire.
Rosario Dawson is starring as the titular character and the cast also includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno and Australian thespian Natasha Liu Bordizzo. Hayden Christensen is reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker.
It is unclear who Stevenson will play, but sources say he is a villain in the series and will play an admiral … although, not Thrawn.
Ahsoka is due to begin shooting in Los Angeles at the end of April.
The move marks a return to the galaxy far, far away for Stevenson, as he voiced a character named Gar Saxon in Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars. The actor is known for playing Volstagg in Marvel’s Thor movies and played Blackbeard in Starz’ Black Sails pirate series.
He is repped by Gersh and Independent Talent Group.

I thought Lars Mikkelsen was going to play Thrawn in this.
Also the first I've heard about Hayden Christiansen playing Anakin in this series. Flashbacks or Force ghost?

Looks like an image from filming has leaked.
I'm putting it behind spoiler tags because, well, it's kind of spoilery and includes a character I don't think has been mentioned as appearing in the series yet.

It’s fake apparently.
Also, that character shouldn’t be around anymore. Unless it was to be a flashback.
UPDATE:Star Wars insider Bespin Bulletin addressed the image, saying it is "fake" and that the original poster has "ties to cosplay." Also noted by Bespin Bulletin are the cameras featured in the image, which the insider says are unlike the ones used on Ahsoka, which is also not supposed to start filming "for a couple [of] weeks."

And in that photo the "crew" members are unmasked. Hollywood has strict Covid-19 mask mandates right now and crew members cannot be around talent without masks.

re: Star Wars: Ahsoka (Disney+) -- news, rumors, etc.
I was going to say, this was fake mainly because they haven't started filming yet and, you know, I gather Asoka is taking place AFTER the events of Rebels, there's a character in the pic that shouldn't be in that pic. Doesn't really match Rosario, either, but I could just be projecting.
I mean, maybe it's a flashback.
Maybe they started filming in secret early.
Mayyyybe somebody just managed to stumble onto a Star Wars set shooting in Mexico (as reports are saying) and snapped this photo and got away with it.
Mayyyyybe Disney hasn't made any stinks on getting the photos taken down.
Mayyyybe the camera people are not masked.
There's a lot of maybes when "it's a cosplay or fan film" is easier to believe.

re: Star Wars: Ahsoka (Disney+) -- news, rumors, etc.
yeah, I figure the time period is after her meeting then and, considering the other Rebel's character slated to be in this, I figured it is kind of continuing that storyline considering how the series ended.

Regarding the series takes place, upthread it was announced that Hayden would be appearing as Anakin, so it looks like we'll be getting flashbacks or it will take place in multiple timeframes like The Book of Boba Fett. So part of Ahsoka might take place post-ROTJ, while others might go back to the Dark Times between the Clone Wars and the OT, or we might see what Ahsoka was up to during the OT.
I remember that her timeline got kind of timey-wimey during Rebels, so I'm not sure where she actually would (or could) be at any point the saga era.
The lack of masks on the crew in the picture does probably mean it's a fake. Pretty nicely done, though.

Peter Ramsey is going from the Spider-Verse to the Star Wars Universe.
The director, who became the first Black filmmaker to win the animated feature Oscar as co-director of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, has been tapped to direct at least one episode of Ahsoka, the latest Star Wars series that Lucasfilm is making for Disney+, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
Shooting begins in Los Angeles later this month. The episode count and additional directors have not been revealed. Lucasfilm has not commented.
Ahsoka centers on the fan-favorite Jedi knight whom Rosario Dawson initially played in a season two episode of The Mandalorian and who later appeared in The Book of Boba Fett. The character originated in the world of animation.
Plot details are being kept secret, but the setup has consisted of Tano journeying from one end of the galaxy to another in search of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a former commander in the Empire, first introduced in novels.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno and Australian thespian Natasha Liu Bordizzo are on the call sheet, with Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker and Ray Stevenson playing a mystery villain.
Dave Filoni is writing the series and exec producing with fellow Star Wars steward Jon Favreau.
Ramsey has been inching his way to live-action after making his name first as a storyboard artist on movies such as Fight Club and Men in Black and then in animation, where he made his feature directing debut with DreamWorks Animation’s 2012 feature, Rise of the Guardians. His co-directing work on 2018’s Into the Spider-Verse helped make the movie a pinnacle in the animation field.
Since then, he has set up two live-action feature projects, including Blood Count, a period vampire thriller set up at Paramount, and Love in Vain, a biopic centering on Blues pioneer Robert Johnson.
Ramsey is repped by Verve and attorney Todd Stern.
