Should be good. Burr is hilarious in an angry East Coast dude sort of way.

Jack White posted on Facebook that on one song he'll be playing a guitar that Eddie Van Halen designed to Jack's specs. He won't insult him by playing a VH song.

He was good in the King of Staten Island.

Maybe he can reprise that character tonight.

For those who donít know who Bill Burr is or only know him from The Mandalorian check out his stand up. Heís hilarious. Heís like as slightly angrier Louis C.K.

Probably my favorite comic working today.

Yeah, Bill Burr is fantastic, one of my top five working comics. Check out any of his Netflix specials, and his "F is for Family" animated show is funny too. I was surprised to see him in the Mandalorian, "Holy crap, is that Bill Burr??? How did he get in this?"

Is that two weeks in a row Melissa Villasenor didn't appear?

I got the most laughs out of the Samuel Adams commercial

Really dug Jack White even if I'm not a fan. For the life of me, I'll never understand why choreographed lip-synching is preferable to artists who actually perform their music live, and put energy and emotion into the way they play their instruments and sing like Jack and his band did tonight.

Yeah. This Tweet she just put out sounds like her heart isn't in it right now

Yeah the Sam Adams commercial was amazing. The rest wasn't so great. I thought Pete Davidson in WU was pretty good. And the recently released Mafia don who was surprised by the political correct world sketch worked pretty well.

Jim Carrey as Joe Biden just doesn't work. Bring back Jason Sudakis.

I didn't like the VP debate/Fly skit. It just wasn't funny.

Yeah, not a fan of Jim Carrey as Biden. His comedic style is too...manic, which is the opposite of Biden. It just doesn't work.

And just because a politician doesn't have a lot of distinct mannerisms to parody (and Biden does...his angry "Now look..." while he's thinking of something to say can easily be made funny) doesn't mean it can't be a funny portrayal. See Darrell Hammond as Al Gore.

Sam Adams commercial was definitely the best part of the episode.

Kate McKinnon breaking character and forcing Colin Jost to call her out was the best part for me.

That Bill Burr intro was about as unfunny as any comedian intro I've seen. Jack White was great but overall a really lackluster episode.

The Sam Adams ad was kind of a rehash of the Dunkin' Donuts bit with Casey Affleck from a few years ago. I was wondering if there would be any references to the Samuel Jackson beer on Chappelle's Show, which Burr was in. But that was a while ago.

I haven't scrolled down yet, but his comedy CDs are hilarious. And if you need a primer on him, please somehow track down the clips he did on Conan O'Brien's show (they often, although I haven't checked them in a while, would constantly remove them, which was annoying.) He's even one of the very few comedians I find to be hilarious in the standard interview/profile thing from some lesser known sites (kinda like how David Cross grew his bit). Stick with it in the beginning, you'll be laughing your ass off after any comedy CD this guy does...Especially loved his take on Lance Armstrong...that was a Conan bit you should look up...

To those that have bashed his performances, okay Bill Burr's are a little bit rough, but I'm pretty sure if others listened too him, they'd see it's good work. I can think of those that will never listen to him but that's just a given....He's one of the funniest comedians around, just please check out his Conan clips....If you can make Conan O'Brien laugh (which can be a tough bar at times), him and Burr just give off a masterclass of how we should interact with each other...Also helped that they both lived in New York for formative years, I believe...LIke college stuff...

It’s crazy to me that people don’t even know who Bill Burr is. If you’re a fan of standup, how could you not? Also, have you never seen The Word Series of Dice or the Racial Draft?

I think that's the key. If you don't follow stand-up (and it's a fairly limited audience), you might not know him because he wasn't in a lot of hit movies or starred in a hit TV show -- though he did appear of Breaking Bad, which I imagine most folks have seen by now.
For those that don't remember he was one of Saul's henchmen who pretended to be an inspector and tricked the Car Wash owner into selling the car wash to Walter White and later threatened Ted and gets him to sign the check, but spooks him - to disastrous results. He was also in the amazing Train Robbery episode.

Imo the problem with any kind of topical humor on SNL whether political or apolitical in 2020 is that if a story is big enough their have been hundreds of riffs and jokes on the topic withing the 24-48 hours of an event. Btwn social media, daily show, other late night shows, youtubers, memers etc every single possible angle to work a joke has been done already by the time an episode of SNL is scheduled.

While all that is true it doesnít detract from the fact that Alec Baldwinís Trump was still hysterically funny in the Twitter age while Jim Carreyís Joe Biden just isnít.

I like Bill Burr's standup and his acting roles, but this wasn't a very good episode at all.

The only thing I liked was the woke Mafia skit.

Exactly. Every joke about the fly on Pence's head had been made on social media well before SNL aired.
