Finished episode four, No spoilers
Invincible is good. I know very little about comic books, but this reminds me of the watchmen comic. It always moves forward and doesn't worry if you are keeping up. Very creative, great origin story, great twists. Curious to see where it goes. Loving it so far

This show is fucking badass! It’s like funny, shocking, a mystery, so much in an animated superhero series. It’s amazing. Engaging. Great voice acting. Fucking JK, Walton Goggins, Steven Yuen. Every fucking ep (through 3) has been unbelievable in story and craft. So intrigued. Just great. Comes head to head with any animated or even live-action superhero tv series. Kinda animated The Boys, which of course, is great. Just fucking addicting. Like Spider-Man coming of age, and then a ton more...

Does Kirkman EP and have a lot of say on what’s written? Bc if this series is only half as good as the graphic novel, I’ll get it in a heartbeat. I have and read Watchmen. Movie kinda sucked, but the novel sure didn’t. Loved The Dark Knight Returns, that’s Miller right? And of course his Sin City was a masterpiece on paper. Film too, but more so paper. Read the OldBoy graphic novel that came with some dvd or Blu set I got many moons ago.

I highly doubt this series will last long enough to get into the craziness of the complete Invincible run, but if you like the show I highly recommend the comic (granted I have only seen a couple of episodes of the show).
However, if you like the Boys, I do not recommend the comic it's based on unless you read up on it first.

Sorry, I meant just because you like the Boys the tv show, doesn't mean you'll like the Boys the comic which is... very different.

I absolutely loved the comic (I think I got up to issue 84 before dropping off for time/monetary reasons), but the characters seem so much more unlikable than in the comics. I also hope that they get to the "twist" soon (I watched episodes 2 and 3), but it seems like season 1 will just cover the first trade, which is a really slow pace.

Spoiler:
I actually forget how exactly the first arc's Omni-Man stuff plays out in sequence, because it's just setting for the entire rest of the series.
I also forgot Bulletproof doesn't join the Guardians of the Globe on their first recruitment and thought they cut the character. I love that guy, but I could understand not wanting a black man named "Bulletproof".

Why did you skip episode one?

Re: Invincible (Amazon): animated series based on the comic by Robert Kirkman
They moved up the main twist to episode 1 for obvious reasons, but changed the way it plays out to give Invincible some time to grow with the cast, which I think was a decent decision.
If you remember, Damien Darkblood's investigation
in the comics but here it's very different.

The voice cast in this is insane. So many great actors.

Loved the Amber "twist" in this past episode. Mark thinks he's just going to coast and all is forgiven once he reveals his identity... um, think again.
