I could see them keeping the three episodes then resuming with the remaining teams in whatever countries are currently safe (if any). If some teams can’t return, then just cut down the number of episodes accordingly. I think people would understand if the season were 6-8 episodes instead of 12.

Yeah that's another thing. Should they resume production on the incomplete season, What happens to those contestants who were available last year, but now they aren't available now?

Not everyone who competes on this show is an unemployed actor, model or bartender and can take the amount of time off this show needs.
