I'm glad were getting more Jamie in bits and pieces, especially after being a main focus in season 1.

I think this show is so heavy handed and inelegant now. It feels like it’s being written by a high schooler, and not a particularly gifted one at that. Every theme in almost every episode is telegraphed a mile away — Keely wants some time away from Roy, did you catch that?. And so much feels inauthentic like Nate behaving like a completely different person than who he was last year or the embarrassingly cheesy massive hug the entire team gave Nate immediately after he reluctantly apologized to Colin for being awful to him. I am having a hard time even pretending to care about these characters (besides Ted) any more because literally none of them are behaving like real human beings — except maybe Jamie.
* By you, I mean the viewing public, not the quoted poster or any specific viewer of the show. I mean to imply that the writers are treating the viewers like idiots who need every single theme or story point spelled out several times.
Well if nothing else I am now at least totally convinced that Juno Temple has had a boob job since filming Vinyl S1.

And you* deduced all that from one very heavy handed family scene, from watching Nate check his Twitter feed eight separate times and watching him feel bad about himself and then take it out by humiliating a subordinate twice? Nice reading between the lines.

It'll be okay. Jamie was a dickhead, and now he's basically neutered. Nate was neutered, and is a dickhead for now. He'll learn the hard way about the right balance between too much and too meek, like Rebecca and Keeley tried to help him with.

The Nate story arc has been pretty terrible, honestly, this season.
Overall this season is weaker than the first so far. The show is at its best when it focuses on the title character, though I do really like Roy, Keeley, and Rebecca. And Higgins.

Just now catching up on Season 2. Really enjoying this show still so far. Right up until that Christmas episode. Which all my friends warned me about. That was absolutely terrible IMO. I'm onto episode #5. Thankfully they're back on track.

Well that was a pretty good episode. Sure they totally forgot their "Nate is an irredeemable damaged, egotistical asshole" storyline of the last episode, but there were lots of other interesting storylines to go around. I loved when Roy hugged Jamie in the clubhouse. And Ted with the doctor was pretty entertaining. And Ted's revelation at the end was pretty interesting.
Not buying the Rebecca and Sam relationship at all. If I really wanted to see Sam court and woo and win over his cold, distant employer Rebecca, well I know what show I would be watching instead.

The "haircut" scene was so odd yet so funny. Seeing that as a team tradition was great.
Roy and his niece was the highlight for me this episode.
Also, the altercation between Jamie and his dad... Wow... and then to top it of with that hug from Roy... Double wow.
... oh, and less Nate this episode =

The super sized 45 minute episode was good. Even though Rebecca is only mid-40s, she looks very good for mid 50s, and that body is to die for. My God she has curves in all the right places.
I was stunned to find out her actual age.
loved Roy and the kid. I think Roy is the best character on the show.
Lasso almost seems like a supporting player at this point.

Just watched this week's episode. OMG! ❤️ and 💔 It was so sweet, and heartbreaking. My friend on Facebook immediately posted this after he watched it "Someone hug Ted Lasso right this goddamn minute. ". I just looked on IMDB and so far it's now the highest user rated episode (both seasons).

A million bucks an episode for n actor on a streaming platform show seems nuts to me (though admiringly, short seasons) It must be hitting Apple's sweet spot.

its gonna win a bunch of Emmy’s, though. I didn’t even watch Season 1 until this summer and that’s because I kept hearing about it all over the place.

It is gonna clean up imo. But that’s still crazy for a one streamer comedy/some drama albeit excellent show and let alone Apple. Not the biggest.

Funny how this has become the prestige show for Apple over The Morning Show. Good for everyone involved in the raises.
