Agreed... it was great seeing the battle droids back in action.

And then they follow up the excellent ep 3 with the fairly boring podrace-lite episode 4. That’s always been the issue with all these clone wars cartoons. When they’re good they’re great but just too many filler episodes.

I think that's why Crosshair's ep last week was good.
I think it would be safe to say that we'll get one or two more eps where one of the others is the "star."
I'd like some more backstory on Echo and if he feels like he really fits in with the Bad Batch (being that while more machine than clone, he's not defective).

I mean they are cartoons for a reason and there’s bound to be filler episodes. It doesn’t bother me though because I like most of the characters.

With sixteen episodes this season, a complete waste of time like this episode is a bit easier to swallow, but it was just another "someone learns a lesson" exercise in futility. And the green lady is a crook? Who knew?

Another filler episode… just to let you know.
And it was Wanda Sykes’ treasure hunter that was the focus.
Cool creature and cool twist on the “dungeon” so it made for a mildly interesting episode.
I hope they thread these stories soon.

Caught up tonight. Episode four was kind of fun. Not sure why they didn’t just go with the already established Pod Racing instead of making up a new form, but it was still a fun enough episode. Didn’t mind Tech getting a lot of the focus.
Episode five was decent too. Fun enough treasure hunting adventure.
It did seem like season one had a bit more of an over arching story whereas so far season two is more stand alone episodes.

Episodes S02E07 (The Clone Conspiracy) and S02E08 (Truth & Consequences) dropped today…
… and they were quite good. Moved the story forward by leaps and bounds.
The “Batch”-less episode 7 was fantastic and the BB wasn’t missed at all. Seeing the conflict between the Clones, the Senate, and the Empire was a breath of fresh air from the “singular” stories the last few episodes gave us.
Episode 8 was your usual “we have a job to do” episodes, but having Rex along for the ride and Omega sidelined with the Senator broke up the “Omega screws it up” story archs. Here she gets to see how rotten the Empire is.
The not problem I had with the last episode was the “and then there were three” with one of the Batch leaving to assist Rex. Won’t spoil which one, but it be interesting to see how the rest of Clone Force 99 does without him.
oh, and #RIP Slip.

Episode six was good. Cool to see Gungi back (he was also in some episodes of The Clone Wars). Plan to catch up on the other two episodes later today.

The seventh and eighth episodes were fantastic. When the show hits it really delivers. I’m personally good with having a mix of adventure of the week and story driven episodes.
Cool to see Rex and Palpatine. I wasn’t expecting Echo to stay behind with Rex and leave the Batch. Now they’re down to just the three members and Omega.

Another “meh” filler episode.
We get it. Echo’s gone.
Tech’s emotionally vacant. Wrecker’s clumsy. Hunter’s brooding. Omega’s sad.
See you next week.

Yeah it was just an okay episode. The few before were better. Honestly I wish the show would come up with a reason for the Batch to quit doing all these side missions for Cid.
I feel like that aspect of her sending them off for whatever random tasks and them ultimately winding up in some kind of trouble is what makes the show repetitive.

Well, S02E10 is here and it’s a direct wrap up to last week’s episode.
Simple story with an Andor-like prison-planet-ish, fight-the-power, Stockholm-syndrome-slaves that need the taught a lesson from a “family” like Clone Troop 99.
I get the connecting points they are making, but I want them to get back to the main storyline and galaxy wide conflict.
We have six episodes left.

If you've read Oliver Twist, or remember Lady Proxima in "Solo," you get the idea of yesterday's episode.

That's the message that I got.
... and it makes me wonder, who is the audience for "The Bad Batch"? Is it kids or adults or both? That was rhetorical by the way.

I’ll just start off by saying I really liked this week’s episode (s02e11 - Metamorphosis).
It moved the story along. We’re starting to see who’s involved in the cloning scandal and that Omega is being primed as a target to move the Empire’s research along.
I just might rewatch it.

Is this the first appearance of Clone Commandos? I do not recall them in Clone Wars, if so this made them seem like regular troopers working at a research base.

Really good episode this week. Two really good Crosshair episodes this season. Seems like they’re building towards his redemption as he’s starting to realize that he and the other Clones are essentially viewed as disposable by the Empire and he’s been blindly following orders.

Another yawner (except for the opening scene in the bar) and another “pitstop of the week” in “Pabu” (s02e13).
We know Omega deserves a childhood, but we know she’s not going to get one, so let’s move on already.
We’ve got three episodes left. One on the 22nd and two on the 29th.
That doesn’t leave us much time.

S02E14 "Tipping Point" was a pretty decent episode... moved the story forward a little more.
The last two episodes of Season 2 will drop next week.
My guess...

Damn good episode. This show can hit hard when it wants to.
Agreed with the spoilers. Definitely seems to be where things are headed. I wonder how many seasons this show will last. I wouldn’t think much more than three or four.

The last two episodes of season two are dropping tomorrow morning.
I’m going to watch The Mandalorian episode before work and then try to catch these two on my lunch break in between classes.
I really should watch them the other way around because I am more excited to see Clone Force 99 than The Mandalorian this time around.
