I don't think the BCS timeline will go all the way up to the BB timeline. Aside from the 9 month time jump in the middle of Season 4, there just aren't major time jumps in this show. So BCS is now in 2004 and may only make it up to 2005 before concluding with a roughly 3 year span of time between the events of BCS and BB.
I didn't know that the Gene timeline was set starting 5 years after BB (I figured that was only a couple of years). But that timeline starting in 2015 would make it interesting if the BCS timeline ends in 2005. If any non-BB character from BCS show up in the Gene timeline (*cough* Kim *cough*), it may mean it's been a whole decade since Jimmy-Gene last saw the person.

I thought there was some throwaway dialogue in the second half of this season that indicated we were about 11 months away from the start of Breaking Bad.
Oh, it was that Tuco was getting out in 11 months. Do we know how long Tuco had been out of prison when Walt first encountered him? He'd probably been out for a little while, but I find it hard to believe that this is five years before Breaking Bad now.

It’s four years out it. It may be hard to believe for you. But it is the case.

Mike's granddaughter can confuse the issue of the timeline.

That’s probably one of the bigger flubs.

To keep the timeline straight, Kaylee would have needed to be an infant, or Stacey would have needed to be pregnant with her, which would have been doable, but they probably wanted Mike to be able to interact with his granddaughter.

I think they needed for there to be more time between Mike's son's death and the first episode. It's the only reason I can think of for the obvious age issue.

I'm glad Lalo survived and he did it bad ass style!
I hope he gets revenge and kills Nacho, then he will die (probably by Mike's direct hand) before BB
The Kaylee Ehrmentraut issue, cmon how many shows have had the kid as a baby one season, then a 4 year old the next (Family Ties, Step by step etc)

I've listened to literally dozens of hours of podcasting from Gould & Gilligan as well as many other writers and behind the scenes people discussing all sorts of minutia related to creating this show, and I've never heard them address it. So weird.

I think they're leaning into the granddaughter problem by making her older and older. It will never be addressed, nor should it at this point. Next season they should cast a teenager in the role.

Does anyone know what the "Bonus Editions" of season 5 are that AMC is showing today? I don't really want to skip through them on the DVR looking for 30 seconds of new content in every episode.

I know that Odenkirk and Seahorn answer some viewer questions during the last two episodes.

Weird that it will take almost a full year from first day of filming to air date. This isn’t Game of Thrones in post-production. But I am just glad to get it eventually.

It's 13 episodes, and if last season was any indication many will be over an hour. Don't be shocked if it balloons to 14 episodes and a part one and a part two like BB
