Ricky Gervais will return for the 5th time to host the 2020 Golden Globes
I wonder what new Tim Allen jokes he will come up with? 
I hope he does not tone down his act. Maybe in 2021 he should host the Oscars.

Ricky Gervais will host the Golden Globes for a record fifth time in 2020 – despite previously claiming he wouldn’t present the awards show again. The comedian, who hosted the show between 2010 and 2012 and again in 2016, will reprise his role for next year’s 77th edition, once again stating that this will be his final year as host. In a statement, Gervais said that the organisers the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had “made me an offer I can’t refuse. But this is the very last time I’m doing this, which could make for a fun evening”.

Pass the popcorn. Will be front and center. Tina and Amy were great, but Ricky is the best. And please help me forget the trainwreck that was Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh. Not since James Franco and Anne Hathaway has there been more terrible hosts on any awards show.

^ Actually I think that was a real dick move. Bad-mouth Affleck in an opening monologue, that's fine. But putting Damon in that spot for nothing the he did was very uncool.

The last time he hosted, I felt he really watered his humor down a bit. I hope he goes all-out this time like he did the first time he hosted.

Nope, current season. This is the show's third batch of nominations. Brosnahan has already won twice in the Lead Actress Comedy Series category .

They notoriously like to honor the new and different. I understand and even appreciate them leaving GoT off the Best Drama Series list, but how they snubbed Watchmen as well as the amazing work from Regina King (last year's winner for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture) is totally beyond me.

Matthew Macfadyen deserves a nod for Succession.
Succession really should win in it's category.
